Yeah was impressed with the last batch of developer diaries - they may still be up on GameTrailers.com. Wonder if they'll be releasing a playable demo.

E.B Games will be getting the Collector's Edition.

$149 it costs.

They are taking pre-orders, you get a bonus comic book and unlockable armour the day it comes out.

I secured a copy. Thanks uncle Kev.

Don't know any other store that's getting it, but it's still early days.

I don't get why the yanks are complaining about the $100 (u.s) price tag for the collector's ed, when some of us pay $100 just for a standard game.

yeah, JB's release date say's that it's an August release now too.

and, can someone tell me exactly what the differences are between the game at these two shops?

ie. is there something that one of them has that the other doesn't?

S'all good Collector.

I had a talk with my mate at E.B about these different offers, and she believes that when stores say they have something 'exclusive', it doesn't necessarily mean that you won't be able to get those things if you buy the game somewhere else.

Stores make deals with the companies so they have something for the player (at the beginning of the game) when they purchase the game.

I pre-ordered with E.B, getting the armour. Pretty sure I can just download the villain even if I get it from them..or unlock it somehow in the actual game..

Remember Soul Calibur 4? How ps3 had darth, and xbox had yoda??

Then about a month or so later, ps3 owners can download yoda..and vice versa.

Yeah. Quite excited.

Got my special ed today! (ps3)

Bit disappointed with the WOODEN batarang, but happy with the game!

I've downloaded the crime alley challenge map, the joker challenge map and batman's extra armour.

Chaining combos while taking on thugs is addictive! The more you chain, the more exp points you get to put towards upgrades!

For those of you who have played Batman: The Rise of Sin Tzu..you'll find that this game is very similar in terms of upgrades and combos.

The environments and characters are beautifully designed, a lot of love has gone into making this game LEGIT.

I've completed about 15% of it on hard. Enjoying the story line.

Highly recommend it! Great balance between stealth and action sequences, fighting system is easy to pick up and it's just an EPIC game. Fantastic use of Batman's rogues gallery.

Game si great 8/10 but I agree with Good Game (ABC) on this one point...The 'sandbox' you play in is very small and does not have a sense of size to it that it should. Other then that it is a very very enjoyable game.

I have to devide my time between this a Far Cry 2 (good game, but you need to invest a lot of time for only a small achievement point return)

oh the batarang is plastic, with a grainy wooden finish =/

I gave joker a test run, I love his moves and counters! You can only use him in the challenge modes.

Has anyone tasted the grand angus burger at maccas? haha.

Give it a try gang! Last month was a pretty dry month for games..I bought fillers like U.F.C and the Sega Mega Drive Collection, just to play while I waited for Batman..

ok going to play some more now =D

I'm playing this at the moment and its the most fun ive had in ages.
The upside down takedowns are awesome, skitting from gargoyle to gargolye and then coming down with a glide kick is just awesome.
Love it

Agreed, I'm very much enjoying it too. And its one of those games that actually gets better the further you get. Definitely THE Batman game by which all others are to be judged, both past and future.

I just hope the same team is working on a Gotham based sequel...

HAHA @Hemish!!! Did you say it as Michael Keaton or Christian Bale? Hmm.

Finished the game a few weeks ago..I'd like a sequel please with:

-a jump button for some wicked jump kicking
-driving component
-gotham as the playground
-cameo's from other heroes

word.
