NEW DC INFINITE HEROES AT TOYS-R-US

Post by The Iceman on Thu Apr 09, 2009 10:59 am

Heads up guys, I just returned from my lunchbreak where I drove into Adelaide to get my comic fix. I checked out Toys-R-Us and came across some new single packed DC Infinite Heroes. They were priced at $12.99. I picked up Green Arrow (hooded), Dr. Fate and classic Joker. Other ones on the pegs were Batman (black &grey), Superman, Black Lightning and the Spectre. I know they're not everyone's cup of tea but I have got a soft spot for this scale because as a kid growing up there were no larger size figures to choose from so I used to paint and modify my soldiers into my favourite Marvel and DC heroes.
Have a safe and happy Easter everyone!!

I wonder how much they will be when they hit other stores as TRU tend to be at least 10% more expensive on figures as a rule.

I think $10 each for these are more than worth it. Anymore is just bullshit..

Looks like Chadstone TRU was cleaned out of these sometime in the last week. A weekend hunt there discovered only one lonely Green Arrow on the peg all by his lonesome.
I didn't get it as I try (with difficulty sometimes) not to buy stuff just coz it is available and a licensed product I like and these guys will never stack up next to my 6 inchers.

Hey Everyone,

I picked up The Joker from this line at Toys R Us this last week. He kind of had a Super Powers Joker kind of feel to me. Smile I really am very happy with him. I hope to get more of these down the track.

Take Care,
Darren

saw these at my local tru last thursday (garden city brisbane)

they had dr fate, green arrow, black lightning and spectre.

if these had a better sculpt / articulation / paint apps like the marvel universe figs I would buy them but as they are at $13 is a rip off!

DCIC vs MU

Post by Nightcrawler on Sat Aug 08, 2009 3:46 pm

I am a bigger fan of DCIC than the Marvel Universe or Wolverine lines. At <$12 each, even though they have less articulation than the MU figures, for 3.75" scale I cant justify paying more than around $10 ea - Big W has them for $10.84 ea and Toy Kingdom still <$12. I got the Gotham 3-pack for $9.95 and might also get the Flash 3-pack for the same price - although the other 2 characters are lame, I can utilise them for customs!

MU & Wolverine:Origins figures I can only find for $16+ and the sculpts/QC are very poor by comparison. I have most of what they've released (character wise) in my ML collection already. So unless I decide I MUST have a Marvel vs DC display (in scale) at some stage cyclops I'd rather throw my random spare $10 at a DCIC than a MU. I haven't collected many DC figs at all compared to my ML collection, but some of the DCIC are actually more articulated than the other 6+" DC lines, so worth the small investment for those characters you cherish.

This is my first Green Arrow action figure, but I reckon he's cool, despite the floppy rubber bow - and Bats and Supes are essentials... would like a couple more... Evil or Very Mad

I mentioned the Tom Baker figure in another thread recently about Dr Who Question

Here's Gordon, cop and Batman arresting Speed Racer trying to steal the Batmobile...

I'm trying to find some figures I can fit in my 1:18 HW Batmobile... SR seems the closest, he's a tad smaller than 3 3/4" DCIC. Should be easy to customise into Robin...
