SW Clone Wars 2008+ - Where to buy?

Post by Pixo on Mon Mar 23, 2009 6:31 am

Hi,

I'm jumping on-board with the SW Clone Wars figures. Can anyone feed me a lead where (a) I can find them, and (b) I can spend a not unreasonable amount buying them and getting them back to Melbourne?

I can only find them at retail at Safeway Supermarkets.

So far, I've bookmarked CaseFresh and SagaCentral.com.au

Any other ideas?

Obviously one of the first sites that I investigated but there's nothing currently listed.

Found Series 4 at Big W Forest Hill @ $15.99.

Picked up a Padme, but also saw the Astromech Droid "Goldie", the Space-gear Clone, and the 212th Battalion Clone.

I am currently working on an IT Project for South West TAFE in Warrnambool, and I travel across there once a month for on-site meetings etc.

I don't begrudge this because it gives me the opportunity to check out the regional Toyworlds on the trip.

At the Warrnambool Toyworld I picked up the Commemorative DVD Collection (Wal*Mart) General Grievous, Battle Droid & Obi-Wan Kenobi set for $39.99. They also had the Anakin, Clone, R2D2 set for the same price.

At the Colac Toyworld I found Battle Droids and Super Battle Droids at $14.99.

Colac Target also had the Yoda and Coruscant Guard (Target) Battle Pack.

Hey, can people call out if they find Series 5 of the Clone Wars figures at retail - which I believe were expected June?

This set includes Kit Fisto and Jar Jar Binks.

Thanks in advance,

Found Kit Fisto @ the recent $13.50 Kmart (Burwood) special price. Also saw evidence of Waves 6-7 at Camberwell Target in preparation for their Toy Sale next week. Found Clone Trooper Echo from Wave 7 and a re-issue of General Grievous in the new packaging. Both scanned at $17.99.

Clone Wars figures are on sale at Big W at the moment @ $12.88.

In addition, Red card Wave 5 is out. I picked up Captain Argyus from Melbourne QV Big W and saw the re-issue of Captain Rex and the new AAT Driver Battle Droid.

Was in Target Melbourne yesterday and saw they'd restocked. Lots (i.e. >4) Captain Argyus' for anyone who's looking, and I hid an Unduli figure for myself. Wanted to go back with the Kmart catalog ($14) so they'd price match. Target's price per figure was $17.99.

Found Wave 7 yesterday at Big W Melbourne at <$15 each:

Wave 7
42 Anakin Skywalker (snow gear)
43 Thi-Sen
44 Clone Commander Stone
45 Darth Sidious
46 TX-20 (Tactical Droid)

Didn't see Thi-Sen, picked up Sidious and would've grabbed TX-20 too but for a really sloppy paint job.
