Artworks and such

Post by BigSi on Thu Mar 19, 2009 4:19 pm

Howdy,

Long-time lurker and refugee from Figurama/Ozfigures, and figured that I'd get off my butt and join the fray Smile I remember in the previous forums I visited that there was a section for members to post their various creative endeavours, etc, and as I can't find a similar area here, figured this'd be the best place to drop in.

Anyhoo, just thought I'd share some recent digital bits and pieces - if you dig 'em, feel free to swing by my page on Redbubble (http://www.redbubble.com/people/simonsherry) and take a browse - comments, crits, etc are always more than welcome!

So, on with the show!

Cheers guys - Rat Fink, nice to know you're still rocking the cowboy 'stache (gotta get one for myself soon).

BTW - if you guys like the stuff you see on Redbubble (mine or others - there is HEAPS of amazing stuff), they've got a free shipping promo on at the moment - just enter ticktock in the "Gift Certificate or Promotional Code" box and click "Update Total" at checkout on RedBubble to get it.

I'm also open to the idea of comissions if anyone is ever interested - bit hectic at the mo' but drop me a PM whenever.

Hopefully there's going to be a couple of MOTU-inspired pieces in the works soon (loves me to draw some Skeletor!) - any other fan-art suggestions are always welcome (good practice).

Cheers, and thanks for the kind words everyone - glad to be treading these boards!

I wonder what you could do with some old Hana Barbera / Alex Toth goodness.

I think you should tackle The Mighty Mightor.

Also I can't resist posting this link I just found.

Anyhow, I've checked your site. Your stuff looks great!

Welcome back.

Cheers, and great suggestions. The Mighty Mightor, you say - HELL YES! I'd forgotten all about that guy - both he and the Herculoids were awesome!

Stay tuned ;o)

Howdy,

Figured as this is toy-related, I'd post it here as well - bit of a work-in-progress Skeletor:

Hopefully I'll find some time to finish the values and add some colours soon.

Cheers,

Thanks DroothR - you're the guy responsible for that short film Bite of the Apple, yeah? Loved the hell out of that!

And Dr., those are pretty damn spiffy artworks - love the star trek and gumball machine ones especially!

G'day,

Thought I'd post my latest couple of tees up - as always, any comments, etc are most appreciated:

This one's called Meet me at the crossroads and I'll make you a deal...

And here's a little promo I set up for it:

The appropriately titled I ate your babysitter
