A couple of gems I've caught this week.......No Heroics - ABC 2
I think fri nights 9.30 ....british comedy about superheroes like "the hotness" pretty funny first ep. and last night on ABC Lawrence Leung's choose your own adventure...... doco styled where he tries to fulfill the dreams he had in yr 3, thought it was good too.......Am interested to see what 10's sports channel starting today is like....seems like there'll be some poker action atleast

We've lost everything but channels 7 & 9 after the big storm in Sydney last week. Totally sucks. If the landlord doesn't repair our antenna, I'm seriously going to have to rethink about getting Foxtel hooked back up again, cause I can't live without the ABC.

Pity it was World's Strongest from 2007. Looking forward to the NBA and NFL coverage - any idea if they plan on showing NHL?

Been watching my really bad tv-rip dodgy subtitled-in-polish Heartbreak High series.
Also have Angel series 1 & 2 on DVD to get thru, as well as Queer as Folk 1-4.

I hate to admit it but myself and the wife have been loving Cougar Town and The Good Wife has been great too.
Watched Spartacus blood and sand the other night to see what the fuss was about, plenty of boobs, swearing and '300' action, didnt mind it at all.

Anyone catching Ironman adventures and Black Panther on abc on a sat night? My kids have me hooked on Iron Man and Black Panther has a really nice style to it, not your traditional animation at all.

Re: not that much on tv worth watching at the moment. (no spoilers please)

Post by Sledge Hammer! on Fri Jan 29, 2010 3:42 pm

I've just started watching Being Human, after having it recommended to me by various people on and off over the past year or so. Only a couple of episodes in, but they were right, damn good show. I also have the new series of Survivors lined up, but I want to go back and watch the classic 70's series first. I've also got Spartacus but haven't started watching that yet.

I've also started watching the new action show Human Target, which is a fun and easy enough watch, though very lightweight. If you like shows like Burn Notice it's certainly worth a look.

Other than that, just watching my usual batch of currently airing shows - 24, Fringe, House, Heroes, Nip/Tuck, Big Love, Hustle, Supernatural, Q.I., Burn Notice, Mythbusters, Mentalist, Damages, and this week also marks the last episode of Dollhouse and first proper episode of Caprica, and the return of Smallville. And Lost starts next week too, which I'm really hanging out for. So, yeah, that about fills me tv wise right now.

Still watching the usual suspects - Supernatural, Dollhouse, Dexter, Cleveland Show, SW Clone Wars, Family Guys, Breaking Bad, Better Off Ted and Venture Brothers. Just grabbed Sparatacus (very 300-ish) and looking forward to Human Target.

I just happened on Marvel's new Black Panther series on ABC3 tonight.

Turns out it's airing on ABC3 before ANYWHERE else in the world! Shocked

It's all in superbly animated motion comic style, drawn by John Romita Jr.

Rated PG, and watching it as I type this, I'm surprised it's not rated M. Surprised

The humor isn't forced, it looks great, and really is an adult series (which makes it triplely surprising that it's airing on the ABC Kids channel). silent

It's on Saturday nights. Highly recommended! thumbs up 2
