Clone Wars

Post by Pixo on Mon Feb 16, 2009 7:57 am

I am getting right into this new Clone Wars series - d/l'ing fresh eps every Sunday - and I'm dangerously inclined to buy some Jedi figures.

I was at Big W on Sunday and saw a stack of figures incl. s3 and almost bought Dooku and Ventress on the spot.

I am wondering whether to abandon the lines I am / have been collecting; DCUC, ML and JLU in favour of something which is readily available and under $16 per figure.

However, I really don't need a new spending habit in addition to my superhero figures. Aaargh!

These toys are $16.99 at Target, $17.99 at K-mart, $19.99 at Myer. From April you won't find Star Wars figures for less than $16.00 at major retail.
I suggest you think long and hard about giving up what you currently collect to start collecting a line that more and more people are questioning its value for money.

Had a look but I just want simple toys, not statues.

I acknowledge (all) your advice but the Siren's call is strong. I'm desperate for a toy line at retail that I can touch and see and buy singles figures from @ $15.88, rather than committing to a case @ $100+.

That being said, my resolve weakened and I would have bought the two Sith yesterday but ... there is not a single Star Wars Clone Wars figure to be had in the Melbourne CBD - checked Big W, Myer and Target - nada!
