Nightcrawler's customs

Post by Nightcrawler on Wed Jan 21, 2009 8:35 am

I've just made my latest custom, thanks to the help of Otter in sourcing me a 2-pack Wolverine - custom Banshee!

I thought the HML1 Banshee was poorly done and he just looks stupid without that collar, and it was a pretty dull costume anyway. I got one recently anyway for $5 at Crazy Clarks and thought I'd customise it. So I did today, and here's the result.

Not bad, eh? I just had to drill out inside Banshee's head a bit and then drill seven holes in the Wolvie body three each for the glider wing plugs, and one for a display stand so he can be posed flying/gliding.

Wolvie, however was not so pleased with the outcome:

An of course the Banshee body now becomes perfect fodder for another custom. I'm thinking of Cyclops at this stage, will just need a repaint. I have heaps of different enamel paints but I'm guessing acrylics are better on plastic figures?

I want to touch up my custom Banshee's paint apps too because they are absolute shite, which seems to be pretty consistent with Hasblo. And that yellow they use is hideous. Nutpunch

Also, I have left over two wolvie heads I won't need and two yellow hands with claws if anyone wants them...

Nicely done Nightcrawler. I've been meaning to mod my Hasbro Banshee as well.
