Just a heads-up, the DCUC series with all the lanterns from Blackest Night (wave 17?) is at Minotaur @ $27 each. They had Hal in white but not black. And no Luthors.

Any loose collectors should be able to pick up most of the wave loose from Ebay sellers in China, Hong Kong or Singapore for around $15.00 (including shipping).

Cheers.

I heard on the Fwooshcast this week that Mattel stated if the DCUC subscription didn't go ahead, we would not be seeing Poison Ivy in 2012.

I mean really....if she is highly requested, why wouldn't she be in the regular line?

That seems a bit harsh to me. I believe some people called in blackmail! Very Happy

I can understand the anger towards Mattel but sure don't share it - I was happy to pay for a DCUC sub and understand they have to make that option as attractive as they can.

Oh for sure. I also understand the MOTUC sub needs more appealing sub exclusives to entice buyers.

I would imagine the anger would stem from Mattel saying we won't see Ivy at all in 2012 if the sub doesn't go ahead. I don't know the DC universe very well & I'm sure there are lots of deserving ladies, Ivy just seemed to be one the fans really wanted. As a big fan of the Batman family I was really happy that she was heavily requested as I gathered that is what helps get you into the toy line.

But once again, that is from someone who doesn't follow DC forums, so for all I know Ivy isn't as wanted as the women who will be appearing in DCUC in 2012.

Actually it would have been Scream Man that told me when we were doing the podcast, I just couldn't remember where he heard it.

Subscriptions for Club Infinite Earths have been extended to August 15th (Australia time). At 29% so far. I'm sure anyone who was going to get one has already got one but if you don't and would like to see DCUC continue through subscription please consider getting one.

I have a funny feeling Mattel doesn't really want this to happen anyway considering the lack of advertisement, poor communication and only 2 (now 3) weeks for fans to decide. Shame really. I am about 8 figures from a complete set.

Bloody buggery...I only just noticed we now have till August 14th to buy our subs.

Problem is I saw this minutes after I put in my order for LionForce & Ecto-1. If I had known of the extension I would haave waited till payday & ordered all 3 together to save on shipping.

Not that it matters much I guess since it doesn't seem like the DCUC sub will be going ahead.

I will put in an order for it on Wednesday anyway...hope for the best.

Sub deadline extension till the 22nd.

Saw this on the Org:
http://www.he-man.org/news_article.php?id=2071

Question - "DC Sub: Reveal them All!
Okay, it's no secret to anyone that you guys are struggling to get the commitment required to go forward with the DC sub. It's a shame, too, because this has been a great line of characters."

I think you should consider announcing the entire sub. That way, whether the sub goes through or not, you at least know that you couldn't have provided any more info to convince your fans.

As far as backlash from GB and/or MOTU fans about not revealing those subs, well, I hope we're all mature enough to know that business is business, and the longevity of the DC line may depend on that extra level of transparency.
(Also, throw Fire & Ice into the sub, and you've got me committed :-) )"

Mattel:
"It is not a matter of considering it. We don't have character selection or sculpt approval for any further figures from our partners at WB and DC. At this point we physically do not have any more figures to reveal. I understand it is a bit of a leap of faith, but so was the GB and MOTU sub and both of those have hit more then the min we needed. Only DC fans seem to be the hold out."
