^^

I've preordered a cases of 8 figures for waves 7 and 8 and a case of 10 figures for wave 6. I'm not a huge variant hunter so I'd be happy to get a set of the standard figures.

I seriously don't understand how Mattel keep FUBARing things up. Distribution is supposedly shiznehouse within the US already.

Eventhough Mattel has taken responsibility for the screw up, if you read through the thread they expected on line retailers to contact each other to sort out the mess.

the last few posts have clarified that. the guy from csc has said that was a miscommunication within mattel, they've recently come out and said that the online retailers can just cancel boxes of superman so they don't get stuck with figures.

Hawkgirl looks great. As do all the others.

Keeping my fingers crossed that the local comic book store continues to receive stock of DCUC (although they haven't received stock of series 7 yet and I *need* my Flash).

Cheers.

Yeah I would have preferred a more "vanilla facial expression" - nice to see some metallic paint apps /* shakes fist at Hasbro */

Just a note to you Bolo and everyone else who's been using CSC (Corner Store Comics)...they've had a lot of problems with credit card/identity fraud.

Please everyone check your accounts for fraudulent charges.

Yeah heard about this and thankfully I haven't been affected - made my payment via PayPal. Was going to post this info somewhere but I obviously forgot about it over the last couple of days.

Hemish wrote:So if you are late to the party and thinking about getting these its gonna be a costly excersice isnt it?

I think it all depends on how late you want to jump on and whether or not you want to complete every wave. I skipped wave 5 (Wal Mart exclusive) because the eBay prices are crazy plus Wal Mart distribution has been pretty shoddy.

You'll have to source them from overseas unless they get a local release here - haven't heard any updates about that topic. Mattel are releasing refresher assortments that don't include BAF parts and some of the older waves are available via online retailers for a decent price. I'm sure the A-listers, i.e. Supes, Bats etc. will get re-released via two packs etc done the line.

I'm currently paying around $25 per figure (includes shipping from the US) via CornerStoreComics - I basically order waves by the case (6 to 10 figures a case). It probably isn't as costly as the He-Man line but the figure are being released faster

I'll be putting an order in for wave 9 pretty soon so I may have doubles (all depends on case assortment on offer).
