What I Have I Missed...?

Post by ironbuster on Tue Jan 13, 2009 1:31 pm

Hey all,
First post Smile I stopped collecting around eighteen months ago for various reasons but now i want back in Very Happy
So what have i missed? Has Hasbro f*cked up Marvel Legends as we were all fearing? Are Marvel Legends even still popular? Are we still getting endless Ironmen, Wolverines and Spideys? What new lines have appeared? Does DC Direct still produce relatively overpriced figures? What new babies can I waste my hard-earned cash on?

Any brief recapiluation of the toy industry over the latter part of 2007 and 2008 will be greatly appreciated...Man it feels good to be all fanboy nerdy again Cool

Welcome back to the habit.
You need to get the NECA TMNT, Star Wars big Millenium Falcon, and the newest show in town is the new Mattel MOTU classics line.
And yeh Hasbro are on there way to killing ML.

DC Universe would be the next ML if only we could get them:

In fact that statement is symptomatic of what's going on. We cannot get anything locally or otherwise affordably.

Yeah Hasbro's prices and pi$$weak distribution has screwed international collectors - even those north of the US border from what I saw when I was there last.

Unless things change this year, DCUC and Futurama will be my main lines of interest with statues and mini-bust being my holy grails.

Im still on the fence with 12'. Got some Appleseed figures from Hot Toys coming, I suspect that will decide me one way or another.

Oh and DCUC is the best, man! Casefresh has em, u just have to email to ask since for some reason they arent on the website.

I just updated my latest haul with pics, that's pretty much most of what ML, DCUC, JLU you would've missed out on give or take a figure.
