Mel falcon for $85...I know I am not clever, but click anyways

Post by Grimr on Thu Dec 04, 2008 10:01 am

So the underground toy collectors have probably already spread the word...Mel falcons 99 bucks at TRU today...prob already gone watched a pile of about 20 were demolished to about 5.

Did a price match at Kmart, made sure TRU had tonnes at 9am opening time. Got it for 85 bucks.

I know how hard this sucks for those that paid full price and I am honestly sorry for you guys, I know only too well the suckines sof how supremely fast hasbro Australia can discount items you piad full price for, in USD, after the crash of the dollar...so my pain...is your pain.

but if there is anyone else tossing and turning over getting this....if you have the dosh...DO IT...and if you don;t laybuy and price match at Big W or Kmart...totally awesome toy.

Look forward to finding a few of these at garage sales in a few years!!!

So, Mr.Grimr.... I looked at the catalogue for TRU yesterday and saw the same thing. I looked through the receipts from way back when and found the big W one when we paid $200. Grabbed one from TRU and took the one back to Big W, good thing I didn't connect the mandables it as it is a Christmas present. With the change, I was able to get ABBA singstar for the kids,......yeah the kids Suspect Suspect Suspect Suspect Suspect

Question is, will I be able to return the MF I bought from Toys R Us several months ago for full $200 refund in order to take claim on the recent $99 price drop?

Yes, it should be fine. You will have to hurry though, these were flying out the door this morning.

On refunds: Some stores are putting time limits on cash refunds even with receipt - dunno the legality for it though...but think they get around it by it being on the receipt or implied in your purchase for the product. TRU is one of the easier refund stores.

I agree Cleets, if I knew how awesome it was earlier i woudla had no hesitation to buy at 200.
