Pixo

what exactly was the 405 for, did they deliver build and setup in your place?

It was $40-odd for them to get the ikea packages from the store to their loading bay, $89 for delivery then $45 per frame to assemble (the $405) plus another $50 for the building not included i.e. the led strips, battens to secure it to the wall, cut outs for the power/spkr terminals and another $15 for packaging removal.

They did everything but bring the packages into the room (oh&s) for the build which we did the night before.

All up this cost me just over $3k.

Nice! Those Total Justice / JLA figures are a nice blast from the past!

What's the name of those IKEA pieces Pixo? They look modular like you can just keep extending? I wanted a Detolf but we don't really have a place to put it.

Yes? They're my childhood figures. What is the story with a vinyl caped jawa?

Its only one of the rarest Star Wars figures going around.
I had one when I was a kid but I lost the cape and then swapped it for Luke Skywalker Hoth which I still have somewhere.

The vinyl caped Jawa is a pretty rare find these days.  Some have tried to fake the cape by cutting up a vintage Ben Kenobi cape, not realising that the Jawa cape is in fact a different colour.
I paid a pretty penny recently at auction for a loose AFA graded vinyl cape Jawa.  In fact I've been on a vintage Star Wars buying spree as of late.....picking up all sorts of rarities: Blue Snaggletooth, Skiff, various "Droids" figures and vehicles.  I'm currently building dioramas which I hope to finish this weekend.  I'll be sure to post some happy-snaps when done  Smile

It's a bit like Xmas at my house at the moment. In a bid to reclaim some floor space, I am opening as much stuff as I can, some dating back over 4 yrs.

The night before last was assorted figures from the ML Modok, and Terrax series.

Last night was more ML; Modok, Giant Man series. And a mystery box - from Figures Direct - which I had no idea what was inside. Completely covered in brown paper and clear tape. Inside - ML Spider-Man and Fearsome Foes! Nice Rhino!!

Very nice!

I have the same Besta cupboards and glass shelves, but the mirror "floor" and "rear wall" significantly improve the display.

I'm still trying to decide whether I should keep the Besta cupboard or move to the Detolf displays. I had planned to keep the Besta cupboard, but Ikea no longer make the full-height doors.

Whichever you go with, add the lights. The lights take the displays from impressive to Wow!
