Grimr' s adventures - The great Star wars and Myer Adventure

Post by Grimr on Mon Nov 24, 2008 3:29 pm

So others may recall I complained about SW 3 3/4 inch figures at Myer being 19.95.

I then laughed a great deal at them being $24.95

So you can understand my utter and total break down of sanity and bladder control when I saw them for....

$29.95!!!

That is amazing, I wish I had a camera on my phone, I could not believe it!!!

If this is not a pricing mistake, then this HAS to be a deliberate attempt to rake it in at Christmas when mum/dad/uncle Tom/ aunty Lou/ Pastor McKenny quickly grab a star wars figure and its too late for sanity to strike when it costs them 30 dollars.

Thumbs DOWN Myer!

wow, i don't even think star wars figures are worth $15, never mind that. And I am a star wars fan, not just someone bitching for the sake of it.

The correct price for those tiny SW figs should be no more than $10 the packaging is better then the actual figure inside.

Myer has been for years - a rort when it comes to toys, especially at christmas.

When I worked at DJ's many years ago - I could never understand how they justified the massive mark ups on everything - and I was always told that its the DJ's client that will pay the extra....

Not likely, those toys sat there forever.....

That is a frakin Joke!
I've never understood the pricing of figures over here when you compare to what the yanks pay for theirs.
I wanted to punch a few of them when they were whinging that starwas basic figs went from $6 to $7 and they couldnt justify it.
Crap like this wil be the end of some toy lines.
