Post by Artistix on Mon Nov 17, 2008 9:13 am

Hey all,

These will be posted in my main collection thread, but seeing as I doubt anyone would want to go through hundreds of images to see the new items, I will post new things in this thread as well.

Recently arrived:

UK company Character Options - Primeval

Series 1 Steve Hart with 3 giant Arachnids

Series 2 Nick & Helen Cutter 2-pack

The group

JLU - all arrived MOC

TMNT cartoon Baxter Stockman

MOTUC 200x

Simpsons

POTC Neca

POTC Disney Zizzle

Have a couple more items to take shots of, including the ToyBiz Hercules & Xena figures.

Love the SF collection Hemish. Ken & Ryu are next on my list to buy. Not sure if I'll bother with the Neca versions.

Well, you see...I'm easily entertained....for various reasons.
So yes, I quite like it. Wink

Just got around to taking some pics of my last few weeks of receivings.

Thanks to the Good Doctor I now have the 'Race To Akator' game to display with my Indy crew:

Updated my Doctor Who group with some more series 4 figures including Professor River Song, Vashta Nerada Spacesuit, Timelord & the Hath.

In the corner of the pic above you can also see my new Torchwood figures from UK's Scificolletor. It is their first action figure line & they have been interactive with the fans through the whole project:

Disney POTC - kinda scary looking. Will's left leg fell off right out of the box.

Thanks to Grimr, I now have some DCIH:

A friend in the US sent me the Clark/Superman 2-pack:

GIJoe 25th - Added Destro, both Baroness figures, Lady Jaye, Spirit & Hawk. Lady Jaye is very underwhelming..her proto was much nicer. The girl needs some colour on her lips or something...bit too manish!

Other assorted GIJoe - already had the Nightstalkers, just put them in to keep my new Doc company. Lady Jaye arrived recently too & I think she's really cute.

Some old ToyBiz action, "Hercules - The Legendary Journey's" (or something like that).
I don't know what made me buy these. I saw them as an MOC set on eBay & placed a bid, so here they are:

The Hercules figures are pretty aweful, however the Xena line was heading more in the right direction. They are bigger & better looking figures, however the final figures faces didn't turn out anywhere near as nice as the proto's I'd seen all those years ago.
Also bought these MOC as a lot on eBay.

Before UK's PopCo went under (& came back again) they released a boxed set to give the fans their long awaited Bellatrix, which I just received the other day. She is pretty awesome considering how small she is!

My final & funkiest random eBay buy for the month:

"Good Morning Angels"
"Good Morning Charley"

That's right, It's Charley's Angels. Jakks Pacific (WWE) released these dolls back in 2000. Utilising their scanning technology & a new 'Action Fashion' ultra poseable body, I was expecting something more like a Sideshow figure...howevere these are very much fashion dolls. They are poseable, but they cannot actually hold any of these poses....& they can't do any kicking in their ultra tight pants.

The bodies are actually realistically proportioned & the whole thing is kinda squishy (tee hee). These dolls won't be pinching any of Barbie's slacks, they have a smaller chests & a bigger butt & thighs.

As for likeness's, Lucy Lui (Alex) comes in first, she really came out well. Though she's missing her cute freckles. Secondly would be Drew Barrymore (Dylan) & she also looks cool IMO. Lastly is Cameron Diaz (Natalie). I also like her face, just not as much as the others.

Laughing

The Hercules figures are crazily wide.

Kevin Sorbo...I have a feeling he appeared in a movie or something recently, I recall seeing him & thinking "Wasn't that Hercules?"

He didn't seem to have as much of a career as Lucy Lawless. Not that I've seen Lucy do too much aside from Battlestar Galactica in recent years.

I was in Liverpool yesterday and at the TRU they had a Indy Playset - some tower with stairs etc, I didn't really pay that much attention but did think of you - it was $15 and was in a pile at the top of the escalators too the right.

That is the 'Race to Akator' game. The Good Doc sent that out to me the other week, it is a very cool display piece. It is pictured in my Indy collection shot above.
