Apart from the costumes, the iconic scenes in the preview are pretty much spot on.

Does anyone know the name of the song played in the trailer? Is it Smashing Pumpkins?

Smashing Pumpkins' The Beginning is the End is the Beginning was used in the previous trailer. I'm almost certain the one linked above is Muse, not sure of the song title though.

I knew the rep of the Watchmen, but never read the comic, and i was blown away by the style and political/social etc commentary throughout the movie. It was a pleasure to watch, despite having a totally full bladder (yeah I did not do a just in case/we are going on a big trip wee] I was stuck to the screen. However wish I actually read the comic before going. Worthy of the cash to go see.

Dunno if its in the comic, but the imagery of Rorschach talking about the abattoir early in the movie was insanely illustrative.

saddly I think I missed the first minute or so due to me driving to the wrong cinema.....idiot.....anyway.....Gotta say haven't read the GN for a few years now but it stays pretty close to the source material, and pulls it of extremely well, some funny moments, and similar to Dark Knight it's a movie with superheroes in it rather than a super hero movie ala x-men etc..... I've gotta say the casting is perfect for each of the main cast...... don't know if it will pull box office numbers but it's definately up there with the best comic movies

Agreed, I liked it the casting was excellent except for Ozzymandius. He looked like a skinny nerd in his big brothers costume. In the comic to m he was meant to be like the perfect man, perfect in everyway and he was good looking. The guy that played him was not right.

I quite liked it. Everyone in the cinema chuckled whenever Manhattan's wang came on screen (pun intended Razz)

Great movie! Of course not as heavy as the book but that couldn't be helped with time constraints. Would have liked to have seen more of Rorschach's time with the psychiatrist and have to agree with everyone everywhere that have mentioned Ozymandias not being the man he should be.
But yeah...great movie. Did nearly as much psychological damage to me as the book did when I first read it as an impressionable teenager those long 18 years ago.

Have the first wave of figs and with K'Rudds stimulation I'll be grabbing the second wave very soon.

The first meeting is 1966, so she should be 34 years old in 1985.
