These figures are selling for $7.99 US dollar (plus tax) in the US. $7.99 is the same price that they pay for Star Wars and GI Joes.

Hopefully these arrive at retail here for a reasonable price (however I will not hold my breath). As usual, ebay - here I come!!!

Anyway

Happy hunting

Yeh the prices are a bit special, the only reason i went in was to see if they had the Kalibak wave as im after Hawkman, i would have even paid the million dollar asking price to get him, but alas they are either gone or not in yet.
I still think these will hit TRU soon unless anyone can tell me otherwise.

Wow, what a random character.
That is the one thing I like with this scale series that there are more character variety and some very bizare character picks.
I just hope they hit the shores at a good price. If they were say $12.95 a figure I would get them.

Yeah thats what I meant but I thought they would have had more info etc.

From memory - Hulk (was tempted to get him - he looked the best), Silver Surfer, Cap, Spidey and Iron Fist and I think Iron Man.

I'm really hangin' out for the Franks. Was interested to read this on MarvelousNews today (Excuse the poster's attempt at constructing a legible sentence). He's talking about S1 Frank;

"...I heard Marvel was gonna fix him so the next time you see him it'll be the better fixed version, which would make the first crappy one more rare hence the collector value possibly going up..."

Translation: They may be retooling the initial release.

Post by Grimr on Mon Mar 16, 2009 2:21 pm

I saw these at TRU today, and I was feeling a little...I wanna buy toys...but was easily stopped. I know its just a SUBJECTIVE INTERNET BASED opinion

Saw Cap (the face was crap...Hbro been doing SW and Joes in this small scale...MAKE A FACE PROPERLY!!), Ronin (looked good, but compare the 6 inch one I could buy right next to it for a comparable price...NO!), ironman (head big enough to facilitate a ye olde Toybiz removable helmet), Human Torch (errrm 6 inch one just came out), Ironfist (Longbody MctooLoooong Body), Grey and Green Hulk (Ugly - but quite heavy), Silver Surfer (only noticed his nose looked big), Green Goblin (seen it all before), Spiderman (refer to comment of Goblin).

I know the internet is full of opinions, and all asses have them...but I gotta say these are terrible. I felt insulted, and felt weird that I did not have an conviction to buy.

I even tried to convince myself that the super long bodied Ironfist...one of my favorite characters (sans the long body) would fit well with my Superhero Showdown figures. Then i stopped and thought hard about the quality of the SH showdown and realised these toys made like 3 years ago OWNED these toys.

I really wanted another opportunity at quick cheap toy hits, and was looking forward to this line...but have been uber let down by Hasbro. Sculpt, and Paint apps were also not great. I hope Hasbro can better engineer them in the future (read DO NOT STUFF UP BLADE HASBRO!!) but for the first wave (or wave 1 -2 or whatever it is), I EASILY pass.

i found series 2 of these at toy kingdom at epping plaza. $17. the had cap america, iron man, wolverine, green goblin, silver surfer, green and grey hulk. i of course got green hulk. i think these little guys are ok. iron man looked great. while green hulk was passable, by no means a great hulk, the paint on the grey was pathetic. and at that price i didnt even buy a second to re paint.

I have a feeling we are just getting left overs. I mean they only have bits and pieces from the first and second series. Hasbro, i have lost faith in you as well as your pricing.

Re: Marvel 3 3/4" new loose and carded images

Post by The Iceman on Fri Mar 20, 2009 4:44 am

In actual fact the MU figures that are starting to show at Toys-R-Us and now Big W stores is actually series 2.
They come packed to a case of 12 figures.
Series 1 consists of the following figures :- 1x Wolverine (Black outfit)
1x Silver Surfer
1x Human Torch (Johnny Storm form)
1x Punisher (large head, white belt & boots)
2x Classic Spider-man
1x Iron Man (modern)
1x Daredevil
1x Black Panther
1x Bullseye
1x Stealth Iron Man
1x Human Torch (burning version)
Series 2 consists of the following figures:- 1x Silver Surfer (repacked from Series 1)
1x Classic Spider-man (repacked from Series 1)
1x Wolverine (repacked from Series 1)
1x Human Torch Burning (repacked from Series 1)
1x Iron Man (repacked from Series 1)
2x Captain America Ultimate version
1x Hulk green
1x Hulk grey
1x Green Goblin
1x Ronin
1x Iron Fist
Series 3 will consist of the following :- 1x Ms. Marvel (Warbird costume)
1x Ms. Marvel Classic Red and Blue costume
1x Hand Ninja Red
1x Black costume Spider-man
1x Thing
1x Punisher (resculpted black costume)
1x Iron man Classic Red and Gold
and there will be 5 repacks with these.
The prices I have seen so far are Toys-R-Us $17.99 (ouch)
Big W $15.88
Whether Series 1 will be available at mass retail is anyones guess. If it isn't it will be another example of Hasbro's total disregard for the Australian collectors' market.
Hope the list helps those that will be seeking these little fellows out.
