Casefresh have listed the first series of the Marvel Universe Secret Wars twinpacks on their site consisting of
Captain America & Klaw, the Master of Sound, Brown & Orange Wolvy & the Human Torch and last is Spider-man & Thunderball. They each come with a reprint Secret Wars comic. The price is $39.50 which is steep considering the Marvel Legends twinpacks were the same price for a lot more plastic. Having said that it is probably the only way we will ever see figures like Klaw or members of the Wrecking Crew done in plastic unless the San Diego Comic Con delivers some positive news about a Marvel Legends revival.

just in case you guys after DCUC from casefresh missed in another thread this is what they have:

Series 1-4 for $147 per case (6 figures)

Series 6 and 7 for $245 per case (10 figures)

I dont think they are selling variants at this point (just cases which may include a variant)

They've even replaced their "super star wars store" with a DC one, except they're not actually selling anything in those pages...

DCUC listings are up, all the way back to wave 1. Sold by a case though - many of which contain multiples of crap characters. Expensive way to collect them methinks. They do have an Inifiniite Heroes icon, but no listings. My guess is it will be a case set lot again, of 24 figures or something ridiculous.

Do hear they're in some Big W's, but none that I can find even have a peg for them.

Hmm... that last post was a little cranky. Just annoyed that they're not individually sold, or that there aren't ANY hasbro transformers or gi joe movie items available. I was really hoping they'd get the SDCC Soundwave set.

I worked it out...and they're missing Wave 5.

But to get everything would cost around $2300, and you'd have over 30 figures extra, given you would be ordering full cases.

yeah, i don't think this is going to work... they're better off selling them as individuals and marking up the desired ones and marking down the undesireables...

Sorry but cf have no clue on selling waves of figs, i see SO many frustrated people buying sw figs from them complaining they have to get the crap in order to get the good, pricing accordingly (as long as its not scalp prices) would be far better.....

Re: Casefresh

Post by mse6 on Sat Jul 18, 2009 2:42 pm

that begs the question: what is a scalper price?

if you have a case of 12 figure and only 4 are new, yet you kow you can only move the older 8 by selling them at $8-10...does that mean the new 4 are non-scalper if you sell them for $25-$30 a piece? How about if you can't move the 8 unless you sell them for $5...does that mean you make the 4 new ones $35???
If you only get 2 or 3 cases of a wave then you could do this..image if you get ten-twenty time this???

short answer, buy from the store that sell product the way and at the price you like.

You have hit the nail on the head, however how can you take figures from another earlier wave (Batman and Robin ) and call them wave 8?
Is it seriously too much to ask to pay a reasonable price for the PROPER set? $490 for 20 figures of which 12 figures are doubles or from another wave. Give me a friggin break.

I think the problem is with figures like GL,Flash,Batman,Robin is that they are packed in the cases with the latest waves (and called best of dcuc or something and come with display stands instead of a baf piece)

I guess it sort of works on a retailer level because it fills the shelves up with popular characters from previous series that the regular buying public might have missed, kind of a raw deal for online retailers who deal to collectors though as collectors usually have the re-issued characters already

I think if I order these through CF I will be having a few doubles to trade on here Wink

Expensive way to do christmas/birthday shopping, especially with how many extra dcuc you end up with.... I agree on selling SETS of figures accordingly, but lumping the doubles on us? I would be happy buying a set with the crappy figs being a bit cheaper and the better figs being more, than being forced to buy entire cases of figs, i guess i'm just not made of money......

I think the point is that he doesn't want to be forced to buy an entire case, just wants the set of figures only.

i think everyone needs to realise that they don't need to bring these in, they choose too. And because of this they can sell them any damn way they want.

I too wouldn't want to get stuck with piles of parodemons, and if this is how they choose to sell them good luck to them.
