I've been playing catch up, which I tend to do every few months, so I only just recently caught up on Red Sonja, Conan, Battle for the Cowl, Secret Six, Jonah Hex, The Punisher, Sgt Rock: The Lost Battalion, Simon Dark and a few others.

I still have a ton of books I need to read and catch up with, including Captain America, Green Lantern, Green Lantern Corps, JSA, Project Superpowers, The Boys, Lone Ranger, and a few more besides...

I've gotta catch up on about a month's worth of comics at the moment.

I'm reading Let the Right One In at the moment though, and it's a fantastic book.

It has been turned into a great foreign language film, and is due to be remade as a likely mediocre american one...

I was speaking to a friend of mine just yesterday on my way home form work and he was telling me about this great horror flick that he had recently seen. He commented that it was the first horror film in a very long time that had genuinely scared him somewhat.

I haven't caught that, but I did read his Undead novel recently.

Reading Cormac McCarthy at the moment. Just finished "The Road" and currently reading "No Country for Old Men".

Yeah, I read Handling the Undead a month or two ago...another fantastic read. "The Road" was good, but unrelentingly depressing.

GoodDr, yeah, Let the Right One In was released on DVD this year. I started to watch it but was way too tired after work...gonna watch it after I've finished the book. I'd see the Swedish version before the US version is made and released though.

Comic singles;
* Amazing Spider-Man
* Avengers : The Initiative
* Astonishing X-Men
* Batman
* Captain America
* Daredevil
* Green Lantern
* Incredible Hercules
* Invincible
* Iron Fist
* New Avengers
* Punisher
* Thor
* X-Factor

Dropped a number of titles - they were either cancelled by their publisher or relaunched under a different title (in which case I'll grab them as TPBs).

TPBs;
* Buffy the Vampire Slayer
* Criminal
* DMZ
* Fear Agent
* Green Lantern Corps
* Star Wars : Knights of the Old Republic
* Star Wars : Legacy
* Y the Last Man

As for novels, I'm currently reading 'The Black Dahlia' by James Ellroy.

Monthly I get
Mighty Avengers
Dark Avengers
New Avengers
Siege
Nova
Ultimate Spidey
Ultimate Avengers

Regular trades I get
Guardians of the galaxy
Amazing Spidey

I am thinking of cutting back a few and buying them in trade format to save some money.

Just started reading Dark Reign (I can only afford my habit through TPBs).

Read Dark Avengers, New Avengers and ThunderBolts trades. Excellent stuff!

Also picked up the Deadpool / ThunderBolts TPB which occurs during the Thunderbolt TPB. Awful stuff!!

Picked up the first four Muppet Show issues from Boom Studios. And put my name down for each of the Blackest Night tie-ins that come with a ring. Sucked in!!!

Took Buffy Season 8 off my pull-list. Although the remaining books are written by Meltzer then Whedon which indicates some improvement, the book has become really tiresome. I'll pick up the remaining 10 issues in Trade.

Looks like my reading list will be a couple titles lighter from April onwards. I'm sure there will be a main Avengers title, just wondering what will happen to The Initiative - one of my fav reads.

Interesting, I agree that they need to go back to to just a standard title and drop the new tag. I think they will have at least 2 titles a month and who knows maybe they will do an amazing spidey and have 1 title several times a month. I say they should go back to the old days:
Avengers
West Coast Avengers and....
Solo Avengers :-)

Picked up the buffy season 8 tpb's 4 & 5 today. Eventually I'll get around to reading the first one.
also picked up the willow one shot, which made little sense and make me wanna slap whedon for including tara in it unnecessarily. i'll have another read of it tomorrow when I'm not half asleep and see if it makes any more sense.
