I was finally able to collect 3-months worth of floppies from my LCS - thankfully the guys were nice enough to throw in a couple freebies.

Since Saturday, I've only been able to read the latest issue of 'Captain America and Bucky', and the first issues of the new 'Captain America' title and 'Daredevil' titles .... it's going to be a busy weekend. As for TPBs, I recently finished Vol #2 of Criminal, Vol#1 of Northlander and Vol#3 of Chew - all excellent reads.

Classic Comics (MEL) put in their special order to get their moniker on the cover of Amazing Spider-man 666, and were giving this issue free to their customers. I picked it up yesterday and have to say I'm enjoying it - and I haven't enjoyed ASM since One More Day and the reboot despite dipping my toe in for ASM #600 and again for the first TPB of The Gauntlet.

I loved Brubaker and Bendis' runs on DD but I'm happy with the lighter tone of the new DD title. IMO, Mark Waid has delivered quite a bit over the years and really hasn't been given the recognition he deserves. The work by Rivera and co was amazing - the fight scene at the mob wedding with Spot was awesome.

Currently 3/4s of the way through "Game of Thrones". Recently paced an order for the other parts of the saga, so I'm hoping to get through "A Clash of Kings" before season 2 starts.

I'm a bit late to the game, but finally finished Green Lantern - Sinestro Corps War. Very awesome.

I look forward to reading the other arcs after this one; e.g. Agent Orange, Blackest Night, Brightest Day, etc.

you're in for a treat Jugs, Blackest Night was awesome!

I'm currently mowing through a lot of the DC New 52 titles, got all of the #1's and only ended up cutting a few off the pull list, they have mostly been excellent so far, especially Aquaman, that title is going to be the cat's pajamas

The various Green Lantern DC Universe Classics figures pulled my interest to the Green Lantern comics. Very Happy I've been quite keen to read Blackest Night.

I haven't read the new 52 Aquaman yet, but I've read the new Swamp Thing and was impressed.

What were your thoughts on book/series, and would you read the sequel novels?

Loved the series and loved the book - the damn thing was like crack on paper! Ordered the rest of the series via BD so I'm looking forward to reading the "Clash of Kings" before season 2 starts. I'm grateful that I watched the HBO show before reading the actual book - felt it let me picture the landscape, the characters and their voices etc better.

I like helping the small brick and mortar stores as much as possible but yeah it's hard to ignore the savings you get online. About a chapter away from finishing the last Stieg Larson novel. I either go straight into the next Game of Thrones novel or skim through my crate of unread books - the new Matthew Reilly book is in there.

I know what you mean Bolo - I like to buy my books locally in the smaller stores but these days 50 bucks is 50 bucks.

Been reading (and thoroughly enjoying) Warren Ellis' 'Crooked Little Vein'. Such a perverse, yet hilarious read.
