Hard is hard i wonder what the locked difficulty level will be?
Im all jangly after playing it again.
I didn't see any UCKnaughts i wont kill them if i see them Cool , or wookies i dont want to hurt the wookies i'll just run away from the poor buggers, Jawas are fair game i reckon they will be good to fling and fry.
The droids are all fun to torture in fact everything is good to throw about and impale i cant see me getting bored flinging things.
Love how his codename is starkiller a nod to the history there, heck i even love the logo man at the start that force smashes the logo.
Wish there was an online feature as it would be the only chance i would ever have of flinging DBF around.

i was really looking forward to it, but it's not been getting the greatest reviews. apparently the story is stellar though. i'll probably wait for it to drop in price.

yeh its apparently pretty buggy, long loading times usual rushed game gripes.
Apparently the levels that are a bit more confined are a nightmare due to the sloppy targetting system, i imagine i wil scare the wife with a few loud screamed curses at certain points of it, but hey at least you can fling droids about if all else fails.

i noticed the sloppy targetting in the demo... it should target things relative to the camera, not the character. some other game i played recently did this as well...

A little off topic, but I attended a Force Unleashed Book launch/signing last night where the author (Sean Williams) spoke of his experiences through the course of writing the novel.
Very few people in attendance I must say (around 20 all up), however Sean was incredibly gracious and accommodating of everyone's various questions. He invited all to come with him to the bar across from the book store to have a drink Smile

I wish I had the patience for games as I'd love to play this. Looking forward to your Wii review DroothR as I hope to one day get myself a Wii Smile

Here's a review of the XBox Version: http://www.aintitcool.com/node/38363

I got it from JB, before they even went on shelf (proof that it doesn't hurt to ask Wink), for $79. Cool

Well, I've played the intro and first 2 levels, and so far the force powers are insanely fun to screw around with, but I concur with the reviews that state the game is lacking "polish".

Not really enough to judge the game on yet, but so far, I'd say; must buy for Star Wars freaks, and a rent-before-you-buy for everyone else.

Tomorrow I get to try out the multiplayer! Very Happy

And of course here's little old me with none of the consoles required to play (I must reiterate here that NO game that comes out on the big 3 consoles is acceptable to buy for PS2).

I've really got to do something about that!

pffft! you tried to convine my wife to buy an xbox360 for my 30th instead of a ps3 so dont start your fanboy nonsense in here.

He is right though, Xbox360 is dead as the HDD format it supports, Wii is for kids and drunk adults, PS3 is for uber cool hardcore good looking gamers.

BOT.....got my copy yesterday from TRU not played it yet as have been busy with work and a bit under the weather all week so early bed last night.

I'm thinking either PS3 or Wii. Wii is a lot of fun, though I'm a bit of a PS fangirl.

Got my ps3 copy today from big dub.

Has a battlefront feel to it...love hurling bad guys into laser fields.

Is there a decent figure of the apprentice? I know there's an evolutions pack, but they're not that crash hot.

Laughing And thats enough to shut me up.

Had a ping on it this afternoon, was not dissapointed in the slightest, the targeting is not that bad maybe the people who play tested it did not have good reactions as i find it very easy to pick up what i want and fling it in whichever direction i choose even in confined spaces, even on the odd occasion where i would grab the wrong thing it's quick and easy to get rid of it or use it to your advantage.
Im on the droid graveyard just now so not to far into it but i am playing it on Lord level so it is a bit tougher, Jawas are great to fry and flip just to hear them chatter.
Loved the start to the game except for all the wookie casualtys.

Multiplayer lightsaber battle is Wii exclusive.
Platform-specific elements

The game's developers wanted each platform to offer players a distinct, "unleashed" experience. Some gameplay elements were not ported to all platforms because of each platform's differing features -- for example, the Wii's "social experience" led to the design of that version's two-player duel mode. Although the story and characters are consistent across all platforms, specific details vary between them -- for example, the opening level on Kashyyyk is a daytime attack on the Xbox 360, while the Wii, PSP and PS2 depictions happen at night with different levels. The Wii, PlayStation 2, and PSP versions -- all developed by Krome Studios -- allow the player's character to participate in Jedi trials, encountering the spirits of long-dead Jedi. The Wii version uses the Wii Remote to simulate the ability to wield a lightsaber, while the Nunchuk attachment will simulate Force power use. In addition to duel mode, the Wii version also includes five levels not included in the Xbox 360 or PS3 versions.
You get a roster of about 30 characters & 9 arenas (from the game, PT and OT), and man, it is FUN. Very Happy

A few random choices in it though. Only unlocked one version of Luke so far, and it's the ANH medal ceremony Luke. (?) Neutral Not exactly the most iconic look for Luke weilding a lightsaber...

Only downer is that everyone has the same force powers (ie; everyone gets force-choke & lightning) just different stats for each person (eg, ceremony Luke has maxed out force-push scratch).

The Scream Man wrote:Im digging it. im actually just going back and redoing older levels to find all the holocrons.
Ah, so I take it you gain a level select once you finish the game?

I was starting to worry that I'd have to replay the whole thing PERFECTLY to unlock everything. Shocked

Finished it this afternoon, Emperor is pretty hard took me about 10 attempts to figure out how to beat him.
Im playing it on Sith Master now (the locked difficulty level) only real difference i find is in the boss fights and fighting big things like the AT-ST's, Kota whipped me about 4 times!
It takes a lot more hits to put them down but your life goes down heaps quicker, im not looking forward to fighting Palps on this level!

Did you start on the harder level? I thought palps was a bit of a push over on the easy level, just started on the second to easiest level, is the story different each level? or is it the same? If its the same that'll be a bit of a disapointment as the game wasn't all that good.......
