Yeah, but when asked he was very clear on the max 2 per order, and ordering multiples of different figs, ie he-man gets released october then beast man november and you order he-man and beast man in november to save shipping is very dependant on stock. I'm not prepared to miss out on figs to save on shipping, happy to order 2 and split shipping costs as i'll only need one, but if i'm in it alone i'll order 2 and either trade the other or ebay it to recoup losses. (and i would only need to make the shipping costs as i'm happy to pay $20 a fig!)

Max 2 per order? Sad
I'm more than happy to split with anyone who's after pretty much one of every figure released? Preference would be to partner up with someone here in WA.
Otherwise for anyone interested in the Eastern States, it would be cheaper for me to send you the figure from here as opposed to having it sent to me from you (my shipping costs are much lower than regular Aust Post charges).

Depending on where UCK stands i'd be interested, it sounds like his interest is waining, but i would subscribe to the entire line, even happy to do one bulk lot every 3 months or so to save shipping costs from you. (you get the figs and send to me every 3 months or so) or whatever is easiest, but i definately dont want to miss one fig in this line, very excited about it!!

Those stactions above do look awesome. Such a shame they weren't action figures.

Thanks Droothr for that link, I just got my guy in TX to head to BestBuy for the sale on the boxsets and the Vol 3 Comic Exclusive.

I dont know about these figures, Im kind of coming round to their style but still miss and love the sinisterness of the 200x line, but its not like they are going to bring that style back.

A TNI member posted a link from He-man.org of the original mini-comic:

http://www.he-man.org/primary_sects/comics/html/mini_comics/motu/comic_pages/00000001/01-02.shtml

I had never seen it before. Pretty cool to finally understand what people are talking about with the no Prince Adam & the whole Goddess/Sorceress/Tee-La thing.

So He-Ro was going to be the main character in a MOTU series that never made it off the ground?

Correct!, he and one other character called Eldor had prototypes made. I will try and find links to the proto's for you. They were to be re-branded "Powers of Greyskull" but it never got off the ground. The two giants that go for ridiculous amounts of money, Tytus and Megator?' were also part of the line and some dinosaur vehicles.

Im KINDA interested in He-Man, but thats it so far. I liked the 200X line as well, so Im vaguly missing those designs, but then the He-Man figure looks pretty cool.

It will greatly depend on price and ease/difficulty of getting one.

I have seen the Giants, atleast Tytus (I think). Kinda looked like Conan with long rooted hair?

Don't recall He-Ro though. I'll go check out He-man.org....I'm sure they have the pics.

No-one of Fwoosh answered this, I think they thought I was complaining! But my question was about the Teela/Goddess/Sorceress thing. Are we supposed to be seeing re-makes of the original line figures, or the women as they appeared in that mini comic? Teela looking more like a blonde 200x version, Goddess being a green Teela looking creature...

Ok, well probably just He-Man then, depending on some more pics of him. Can he sheath his sword?

Pretty sure He-Man can sheath his sword (or axe) into a little "tab/buckle" on his back (there isn't a fully sculpted scabbard or anything).

Looking forward to seeing Stratos on he-man.org on the 15th.

Cheers.

Re: MOTU Classics :The Thread

Post by NiteOwl on Fri Sep 12, 2008 4:58 pm

This is the latest taken from the front page of He-man. org today-

September 11

Important notice about a change in the MOTUC shipping schedule direct from mattycollector.com!

"Dear MOTU Collectors,

Iím writing to let you know that Iíve just made my first really tough decision as Master Toy Collector of Mattel. In a nutshell, we have been forced to make a trade-off between shipping according to our announced schedule and getting our figures exactly right, and Iíve decided to go with quality over speed.

The issue is removable armor for the Masters of the Universe Classics line. As you know, these figures are meant to bring the classic 1980s MOTU toy line aesthetic into the modern era. But the technical challenge of having removable armor that still holds in place with the level of quality we expect from a collector line has proved very difficult. In order to stay on schedule, we briefly considered compromising by gluing the armor for He-Man and Beast Man in place. But I realize that you, the true MOTU collectors, would much rather have the figures done right than get them a few weeks earlier. Our engineers are now re-configuring the sculpts so that the armor attaches to each figure in a uniform plug on his back, so that the armor for almost every figure will be both removable and interchangeable.

So the bad news is both He-Man and Beast Man will now be available for purchase in December. The good news is not only will their armor be awesome, but we will release them on the same day, meaning you can save on shipping by buying both figures together.

Iím bummed weíve had this delay, but Iím glad itís given us a chance to show you where our priorities are.

Good Journey,
Matty"

From what i understood the Mattel guy at comic con, we will see figures that have already been released, so the teela will be the same as the original figure, not what is in the comic, so it will be the one with the snake hood, and the "Goddess" would actually be the sorceress......
