which is what i did the first time, but to do it every year or 2 i think the 5 days is the most affordable....

Definitely the way to go IMO. If you throw in another grand (or two) you could more than likely purchase an around the world ticket.

As DBF said we worked out that $5000 would be enough including spending if you only went to the con and did not mind sharing a room with a buddy.
Im going to work weekends to try and get enough money to go next year.
I will know by roughly February if i can make it or not.
We went pretty crazy spending wise (i bought 11 Star wars sideshow figures) if you knew what you wanted to buy you could probably budget for less.
