Really? From someone who rates X2 as best.marvel.superhero.film.ever this just looks like a complete train-wreck. I'm rating this (unseen) as a dvd-job only.

With these, my favourite genre of film, I always attempt to completely immerse my suspension of disbelief and accept it all at face value, neither being overly analytical nor critical.
I could accept this as being entirely in continuity with the other Xmen films. (My mind even created a small backstory to compensate for the more eloquent Leiv Shrieber Sabretooth getting seriously messed up between films to become the more visceral Tyler Mane Sabretooth).

It is my opinion that it is well worth seeing on the big screen.

Btw....X2 is one of my favourite Marvel movies also.

Saw it today. Not bad, more X3ish than X2 but above 'DVD- job' standards. Cool opening credit sequence.

saw it today...........great first act, with good character moments then just turns into standard action movie, but i was expecting that so i didn't go in expecting too much and did enjoy it

hopes it does do well tho so that more x-men movies get made

5/10

Meh.

Too many continuity issues and pointlessness overweighing the good casting and action scenes.

P.S. I got the Wolverine post-credit scene, and it was comepletely, literally, pointless. Rolling Eyes

All I'm waiting for is for the X-Men Franchise to move away from FOX to a new studio who will reboot the series.
I've not seen Wolverine as yet (DVD job for me) but for FOX to hack 3 out of the (so far) 4 X-Men films, this Franchise simply deserves a studio that will treat the characters with a little more respect. Seriously, Deadpool - the merc with the mouth - HAVING NO MOUTH???

Yeah, I wasn't massively impressed.

Spoiler:
They didn't need to go to the silly levels of making deadpool superpowered, and the sword "claws" were too dumb... It's the sort of thing that completely kills my suspension of disbelief. Eye beams, fine. Healing factor, fine. Big metal swords that are longer than his arms in his arms, not fine.
