Marvel Legends gallery @ MarvelousNews.com
*kicks Ares custom into the bin* Put me down for a set. Stoked to see Crossbones, Kang (hopefully the ratios are good) and Guardian. Each figure in this wave has display potential.
Look forward to filling out my Iron Man armoury. Bring on the S.H.I.E.L.D and Hand army builders.
Tarantula and Iron Spider-man (never got the original figure) will probably be my main picks. Juggernaut doesn't look as big/wide as the ToyBiz version - surprised he's featured in a Spidey line.

Re: SDCC 08 Info
Kinda hit and miss...
Walmart Exclusive
* Kang - Sweet
* Crossbones - Awesome
* F4 Human Torch - Already got too many of these
* Guardian - Awesome
* Heroes Reborn Armor Iron Man - Looks good, but not fussed
* Vision - Looks good, but i'm happy with mine
* Ultimate War Machine - Cheap repaint
* Ben Riley Spider-man - Looks good.
* Ares - Looks good, but the series is too big for such a little baf.
2-Packs
* Stealth Iron Man/Sharon Carter - This one I may have to track down...
I'd like to get the other two, but not going to expend too much effort/cash...
* Classic 70’s Armor Iron Man/Maria Hill, Director of S.H.I.E.L.D
* DumDum Dugan/Hand Ninja
They tend to look good from a distance, I wonder how good the detail will be when you get up close... and considering how much they're re-using sculpts I'd really like to see a drop in their price!

Re: SDCC 08 Info
there's a few things i didn't actually notice at first. there appear to be some f4 figures at the back of the two packs section. they look like they're back in their black/blue duds. the johnny and sue pack looks like it may be a good one. johnny looks like the f4 sculpt but they fixed the head. sue looks like she has a new head sculpt...

There's a Mr. Fantastic and Thing 2-pack, so I guess there is an upcoming Johnny and Sue 2-pack.

Lots of great news here. Ares is an interesting choice for a BAF given he's smaller than many characters who have been regular figures. Not sure if we needed another Vision, but he's one of my favourite Avengers so I'll take him. The Kang is a straight repack so I might have to unload him. Is the Stealth Iron man a repack of the original, repaint of a different Iron Man or straight up all new??? The Skrull looks like a repaint of the FF series Skrull/Super Skrull but it was a great sculpt so again no complaints here. Good to see SHIELD represented with pretty much the whole gang and the Hand ninjas look great too.

* Ares is an interesting choice. I thought Hasbro would have gone for a larger scale character, i.e. a Thanos, Bi-Beast etc., but then again there have been a number of fan requests for Ares so maybe Hasbro is trying to keep collectors happy.
* Never got the original FF Kang so this will be a nice addition to the display shelf.
* The Iron Man 2-packs seem to be using different bodies - they seem slimmer than the ToyBiz Iron Man figures.

Re: SDCC 08 Info
Looking at it I think the two 2-pack iron man figures are using the same body. But it is a new sculpt...

Re: SDCC 08 Info
These really need to start hitting bricks and mortar stores again. I really want to pick and choose, but there's too many duds and they're too expensive to justify shelling out for whole cases.

Re: SDCC 08 Info
Shredder, Foot Solider and Super Foot Soldier pics are up at fwoosh and figures.com from NECA's TMNT line.
Some Mezco Spirit figures are up at figures.com also, although they pale in comparison to Mezco's Hellboy figures.
Figures.com also have Mezco's latest Heroes figures. Still very hit and miss when it comes to likeness and articulation.
Apparently there's lots of GI Joe and Star Wars stuff floating about, but I don't follow those lines . . . . I think "rebelscum" or something like that was mentioned.
Four Horsemen's "Queen" variants for their 7th Kingdom line pics are also up at figures.com. I wish those figures were more easily available, but probably a good thing since I would have been addicted to cool Animal Warrior figures.
No news on MOTU as yet (that I can find). King Grayskull goes on sale tomorrow and the card back is meant to feature other figures. However, you can sign up for Mattel's Collector newsletter at mattycollector.com
That's the main stuff I've found so far. The figures.com gallery is starting to fill up nicely.
Cheers.
