Best of Marvel Legends Avengers Series

Post by awe on Fri May 06, 2016 3:53 am

Looks like this is directed at the international consumer market. Not for U.S. at all.

http://marveltoynews.com/marvel-legends-avengers-best-6-figures-series/

I'll be interested to see if that means Australia.

I went all in for the Hulkbuster in the previous series with Dr. Strange and was regretting it a little when this was announced. However, I believe that this version of HB might have some different paint apps.

Ooh, I'd grab a set of these. Wanted Hulkbuster IM but it was too much to invest for figures I didn't care for. I'd also be down for grabbing anyone's spare Hulkbuster if they already have one and just want the figs.

The only figure of those I have is Black Widow but she's got alternate heads so this works for me if I have to grab the lot.

*sigh*

If there was one complaint I had about the awesome Hulkbuster BAF, it was the scarlet red.

Well played Hasbro. Well played.

I'm not interested in this line at all. It's all movie figures, yes?

Luckily I have all these figures with comic sculpts from the Toybiz days.

Thanks! I picked up movie Thor with the 20% discount voucher TRU has on for today. Now I don't need that Amazon box set.

They had them all (2 of Hulk and Hawkeye) except for Black Widow at Castle Hill.

Yeah, I hear that. I didn't finish my other Hulkbuster because I have no interest in more Iron Man/War Machine and that awful Vision.

But worse still, I have zero interest in any of the "Best of" figures, but want that Hulkbuster.

It's probably gonna be a case of buying the set and offloading the figures. Razz Too hard basket for me, lol.

Nah, I haven't really looked though. Too afraid of dropping a few hundred on a whim just to get a Hulkbuster, lol.

TRU Cannington appeared to have had them at some point. I saw Hawkeye for $25 there missing the Hulkbuster piece.

There were a few at Toyworld Midland when I stopped by there today. $35. Saw Hawkeye, Widow, Hulk, IM, WM... think Loki was there. Didn't have the whole wave as there was no Cap.

Re: Best of Marvel Legends Avengers Series

I sincerely doubt it.

It seems that it's the modus operandi of the Oz market to pick a wave in a blue moon to order (probably because Hasbro will only deal in significant numbers and Australia is small, relatively speaking) and then leave them on the shelves until people are thoroughly sick of the sight of them.

We got Mandroid, Ultimate GG, Odin/King Thor and now Avengers repack Hulkbuster.

Having skipped the Hobgoblin, Thanos, Hulkbuster (original), Ultron (although I _may_ have seen one or two in Myer?), Absorbing Man, Rhino, and now probably also Juggernaut, Red Skull Onslaught, Giant Man and Space Venom waves.

We also get the odd 3-pack hanging around and I can't remember if the GotG Groot wave ended up here. It's been so long.

I should qualify that I have nothing to base this on. It's just how I imagine it's working.

Yep, Ultron wave was a Myer exclusive, but we never got GotG that I am aware of.

Between the jacked up prices, not receiving 90% of the waves, and the US retailer exclusives, Australia is not an easy place to live for a Marvel Legends collector... pale
