June/July 2015 Toy Sales

Post by Xenaphobia on Wed Jun 10, 2015 8:20 am

Hi all,

It looks like Myer is the first cab off the rank this year:

http://catalogues.myer.com.au/catalogue/the-big-toy-sale/14325239056246.html#pageNo=0

http://www.lasoo.com.au/catalogue/the-big-toy-sale/52sx9gtpy.html?pid=promotedCatalogue#pageNo=0

There are some 3.75" Star Wars four-packs which are apparently exclusive to Myer.

They also have the new TMNT Party Wagon for $50. Some of the Lego sets don't appear too badly priced either.

I'll update this post/thread when the other catalogues become available.

I might be tempted to grab those ML Odin figures at $30 a pop, still seems pretty rich for a "sale" price though :\

And K-Mart:

http://www.kmart.com.au/catalogue#view=catalogue2&saleId=9104&page=1

I didn't see anything amazing. Maybe the $5 Disney Infinity figures?

So far, the 2015 sales appear to be pretty underwhelming. I'm not sure whether Target will be the store to turn things around.

20% today until Sunday at TRU with this coupon: http://view.ed4.net/v/SPXEUJT/A3OAE/37LA2I8/PR50S/

It says only off full priced items, but it worked when I bought the 1990 movie TMNT classics figs that were already displayed as $5 off. Got them for $16 each and G1 Combiner Wars Megatron for $72.

Yeah it is, he's pretty cool. I only have a few MP TFs but need a Megs and he works nicely. Now watch and a killer MP version will come out now. Razz

Nice one! Yeah I'm going to have to hunt him down, his alt mode seems to be quite fitting also (even though it's not gun I guess a tank will be as close as we get these days). I really love this combiner series, I hope they stick around for a bit (a new Predaking would be so awesome)

Wow $150 is a steal! I got lucky yesterday and happened across him at Big W Spingfield (Orion shopping centre), they had one other one there yesterday 12 noon and they said 8 more were ordered in. He's an amazing figure, the scale of each individual bot really took me by surprise, and combined he is enormous (although not quite as big as Metroplex). My only disappointment was some of the bots had pretty limited range of movement, some of them don't even have elbows which is rather average for modern Transformers, that said I'll probably keep him in combined mode so it doesn't matter.

I think it sold out immediately. It was already out of stock when I posted the links which is why I didn't mention it.

But, Myer do update their website with more stock, so you may get lucky if you keep watching it.

They had this set for sale about 12 months ago so there must have been a pretty major stash of them sitting in a warehouse somewhere.

Need to try and snag me one of those LEGO UCS TIE fighters, $240 is a pretty nice deal. Also spotted a neat Marvel Legends set I haven't seen before:

Target's catalogue is now available for the masses:

http://www.target.com.au/catalogues#page=catalogue&params=the-greatest-toy-sale-on-earth%2F14357148011403&additional=_ga%3D1.126993929.522984163.1435116585&pageNo=0

That just leaves David Jones, if they're doing a toy sale this year.
