Yes. They have lost the plot.

Unless a third party (i.e. Robot Chicken) financed this, then I can't see any value in this item at all. It may appeal to some fans of MOTUC, and that is fine, but I doubt it will "grow" the MOTU brand and it's clearly something that wouldn't be welcome by ALL MOTUC fans given the constant threats about the line ending before Mattel have completed vintage MOTU, vintage PoP (excluding variants) and A-Listers from other media.
