Open Close?

Post by chich0 on Fri Apr 18, 2014 6:23 pm

Hey guys,

Seeing that I am just starting a new collection, I wanted to ask the question.

Do you open your action figures or not and why?

I do. I've never been a big fan of keeping them MOC. I understand why people do it, but I like to enjoy the toys, have a play with them, pose them and what not.

Plus they look way cooler all posed together. Keeping them MOC, to me, just looks like a shop.

My biggest question for MOCers is the stuff that is in a box that you can't see. How can you enjoy that? Razz I get it if it's for keeping them pristine for future re-sale, but if you plan to keep something forever and not seeing the toy itself, you may as well just have a box with a brick in it. Razz

I open all of my stuff, I just don't have the space for keeping stuff MOC and even then some packaging doesn't really do the product justice. I do keep the packaging of some high end stuff though like statues and big LEGO sets, I usually have them in storage until I need to sell something. Everything else goes in the bin!

Mix of both! Most of my more recent stuff bought in the last two years usually remains MOC and I try to buy extras loose if I want to open!

I open pretty much everything. I have a few boxed "one off" pieces that I display as is and it also allows stacking.

If you have a large house, houses, garages and storage warehouse MOC and if its only one line.

What's the point on staring on them in their packages. The Toybiz ML and Black series are wroth keeping MOC to me as it looks good.
