Honestly. Slow clap for Aussie retail.

If your toy has interchangeable bits or is licensed from the latest inane and perfunctory mobile game then we can't seem to get them fast enough!

And boy do they sell! Do they? No, not really.

Has anyone seen those Marvel Mashers or whatever they are? Interchangeable bits?

They're cartoony looking but not overly terrible. Until I saw the price. O.o Like $30-$40 each. Insane.

Yes. They seem to have the
entire range of them at my local Target. Between the Iron Man Assemblers and Transformers Construct-Bots. I'm not even joking.

Someone is going to have to explain this mix-and-match business to me. I've got no idea why anyone would want to do that with licensed characters.

It reminds me of that scene in Big (I think it was) where they are discussing the robot toys that turn into buildings. Although, they did actually make Rock Lords didn't they.

Haha! I remember seeing that as a kid and thought a building Transformer was actually kind of cool...

The recent phase of construct a figure craze is a bit odd though, I guess it adds to the play factor without the company spending not much more than they already would.

The Marvel Mashers kind of appeal to me. It's like they're all some kind of bizarre, mutated version of the Super Skrull.

I might be inclined to collect one or two if they were $10, but there's no way I would pay the asking price for them. That's around the same price as MOTUC and they're in no way comparable.

Hi Guys,

If anyone is after Superior or movie Spidey, movie Electro or Beetle, Amazon has these for US$16.99 at the moment.

This is the "sold and shipped by Amazon with incredibly great shipping" price. Shipping on two figures amounted to $13 AUD for me for a total of just over $50 Aussie. When specially retailers appear to be asking $35 a piece, this seems like a good deal to me.

-awe

-- edit --
OT: Amazon also seem to have certain Nick Turtles available this way too. Was able to add Casey Jones for $20 AUD shipped. However, I tried to add a VERY cheap Donatello and it complained it could not ship to Oz. *shrug*

The Cap wave shows that Hasblo have lost the plot.

I goth both Caps, Red Skull, Zemo and 2 each of the Hydra and AIM figs. I now have 3 sets of arms and 1 Mandroid head. Ridiculous.

Now the torso will come with Widow. Yeah, she'll be easy to find multiples of.

I sent Hasblo Australia an email to find out when we might get these figs at retail and as usual no response.

Fuckers.

There's a landline I called when I was chasing Masterpiece Soundwave. They were pretty helpful. I wish I had written it down. Was just for their head office in Erskine Park I think. I'll see if I can find it again.

Here's high-res promo pics of the entire Guardians of the Galaxy MLI series: http://thefwoosh.com/2014/02/hasbro-guardians-of-the-galaxy-legends-infinite-promo-pics

Pretty good I would say (although one does wonder what has happened to the sculpted comic Starlord that was shown off at last year's SDCC)!

The showroom floor pics make the Gamora figure look a lot more like Zoe Saldana.

Including all the mains in the first set is the way to go IMO. Very cool.

I hate buying movie figures because:
1. they'll always get a different costume in the next movie
2. the actor might change
3. the movie might suck

wish they had more comic book figures, where's my STAR LORD! we need a 2008 comic Gamora, i'm fine with the movie Groot though, we need a classic Ronan The Accuser though.

kinda annoyed they got so close to the comic book costume for Ronan, but then thought....let's take this pretty good translation and make it black instead :S

and why isn't Korath either Pink or Blue? everytime I see him on screen in this movie i'll think he's looking for a Diamond instead lol.

Ugggh...pass. I'll get StarLord for the swap-out head and then do a custom. I'll get Nova too, but that's it. Why do I want another Drax and Rocket that aren't comic accurate? Gamora looks like crap.

There's a G.o.t.G line that's in the 8" scale and includes a Groot so I'll just get that one and skip the B.A.F in this wave.

By the way, Hasblo Australia got back to me and said that the ML Spidey figures will be at Target in May and that they won't be getting the ML Cap figures at all. Somuch for army building those A.I.M and Hydra agents.

!!!!ALERT!!!!

Wave 2 just went up on Amazon and they are $12.74 each for some reason. They had all of them when I first saw but I got greedy trying to order more than one Black Widow and she sold out while I was stuffing around :-/

I got Stealth Cap, Winter Soldier, Zemo and Red Skull all shipped for $70-ish. Now I'm going to have to find Widow at a premium if I want my Mandroid.

Damn you Cannot-Has-Bro!

EDIT: and they're gone. Back to normal Amazon marketplace prices.

It's insane how hard they make it to buy their product. I don't understand why they don't ship cases of nothing but A.I.M and Hydra agents to comic shops. Tell me they wouldn't sell.

Exactly! ^^^^

Why repeat Skull and Zemo? Why wouldn't you repeat the army builders?

Why limit any piece of a BAF to one per case?!

It's mental.
