awe's stuff

Post by awe on Sun Sep 01, 2013 6:25 pm

Got the new 90s Jean Grey thanks to Otter. Then scored the 90s look Cyclops from Steve Holt. (Thanks guys!)

Then this happened.

Old school X.

Nice shot!

I'm getting used to posing the women with those interesting ball hip things Hasbro do, but the knee's are a bit 'buttery' on that mold. Thankfully the knee's on the Moonstone mold are fine.

Nice!

But it needs more Storm! You can never have enough Storm.

Got my modern Hawkeye from Fuzzcat (thanks again!) and my Thunderbolts Punisher from the 'Bay. Put them together with Commander Rogers and modern-age Marvel is lookin' pretty schmick.

Very cool awe. Love that unmasked Hawkeye.

Punisher is a custom?

Thankfully I think you only have to buy 3 figures to build Jubes. Is she the wave with Songbird?

Thanks Artistix! No, he was an unannounced, unsolicited "surprise" variant they've added to the wave with Jean Grey. People are understandably annoyed that they've done this, especially when the Blade variant has still not shown up. I really dug the Thunderbolts colors on him though.

Yes, the one that also has Tiger Shark, Batroc, Radioactive Man etc.

Which I believe is the last "official" series to go by the Marvel Legends name. Crying or Very sad

Aaaah the memories - remember getting a buttload of these for Xmas 1990 - Krang's Body, Usagi, Ace Duck, Don and Leo - don't think I came up for breath until New Year's!

Baxter is worth getting - can't see April either??

Yes, missing April also. However, there's been one (possibly an anniversary re-release?) hanging around at HobbyCo. Not sure if she's still there. But if I do end up popping for Baxter (and Slash. Gotta get Slash) I'll seek her out just to complete the '88 and '89 basic assortments.

I had to Google Scratch. I was mad into Turtles for a time but Krang's Android Body was probably the last good find I had. I still remember grabbing it in Melbourne City Myer when the top floor used to be all toys.

Oh, slightly related. Care package courtesy of Amazon with everybody's favourite sport-styled vigilante!

That's cheap, it should be 5 grand but you need to sell it right?

Its funny how back then, there were tons of these figures and Storm Shadow Gi Joe at a shop that I found overseas as a stock that shops do not want. Storm Shadow is like thousands of dollars now.

I just never got into them as they were hard to find and I was into detailed figures like Spawn.

I don't think so. Or at least I haven't found it. Bumped into this problem trying to pre-order the Diamond Select Van Helsing figure. I've got no idea why. It's completely inconsistent.
