Matty subscription shipping

Post by Mahzian on Wed Aug 07, 2013 4:33 pm

Hey guys, anyone else going for the quarterly shipping option for the next round of subs? I just went to order mine and International express shipping was cheaper than regular... I'm wondering if that's a mistake and Matty will try and charge me thousands... can anyone vouch for Matty's cheaper express shipping?

It's cheaper the more you buy. I don't have the exact sums, but it starts out at like $30 for one figure, then goes up a bit each extra figure you get.

Whereas International Post starts cheaper for 1 figure, like $13 or something, and goes up quite a bit per figure. There's a point, usually around 3 to 5 figures, where express shipping starts becoming cheaper.

There's nothing for you to worry about there. Smile

This is what I worked out for the first quarter as well. This is International Express shipping:

MONTHLY (1 FIGURE)
1 sub: 34.99
2 subs: 40.99 (20.50 per figure)
3 subs: 46.99 (15.66 per figure)
4 subs: 52.99 (13.25 per figure)
5 subs: 57.99 (11.60 per figure)
6 subs: 62.99 (10.50 per figure)

QUARTERLY (5 FIGURES)
1 sub: 62.99 (12.60 per figure)
2 subs: 105.99 (10.60 per figure)
3 subs: 128.99 (8.60 per figure)
4 subs: 180.99 (9.05 per figure)
5 subs: 233.99 (9.36 per figure)
6 subs: 357.99 (11.93 per figure)

Wow you've done your homework! Looks like 3 subs quarterly is the most economical, it's odd that it goes up past that though, must be the bigger dimensions of the box. If I had more spare time I'd try and order more and trade/re-sell the extras but think it will just be one sub for me this time around.

Also $34.99 per month for one figure just for shipping, ouch! Factor in the cost of the figure and exchange rate and that's almost $50 a figure :S

The figures are almost $30 already, so it'd be more like almost $70 per figure! Razz

Man Jor, ur list makes more sense than the one I did in the MOTU thread LOL. (trying to redeceipher what I had figured with beast shipping blah blah.... and promptly gave up due to not caring at this time of evening... hehe)

that being said, when its gonna be pretty much a 1/3 shipping cost to do quarterly, its a no brainer for me.With a double sub and dropping dollar value, it had to be quarterly!

Looking at that bloody he-man-o-meter being only 48% just makes me think perhaps it wont work though(yes I believe the hype ok ) . I'm in till it stops basically, even though my MOTUC display area is running out of room pretty well... uh.. well now, but hey, I love these figures!

I just received my Rockwarriors pack, and basically shipped for 2 of sets (moc and opener) was $200aud.

Man I shouldn't have typed that. Makes it more real...

argh!

gonna have to post up pics of my MOTUC area.. its coming along pretty snazzy so far... =-)

Yeah, it definitely makes sense to do quarterly unless you're part of a group. Then it's not much difference to do monthly.

Part of me does look forward to this line ending. But I think one more year and hopefully they knock out the rest of the heavy hitters. Then maybe a reduced sub for 2015 would be good, particularly with the cost of these things.

I noticed for the DC sub that monthly shipping is cheaper.

If I go monthly, the first figure, plus the sub excl figure is $13.70 shipping. Each month after that it's $13.70 shipping.

If I go quarterly, the three sub figures, plus the sub excl figure is $58 shipping.

???

$13.70 sounds like International Post, which is slow shipping.

Try it with International Express, which is much faster.

Normally I'd consider it, but with the $A not likely to get to parity again any time soon, I'm loathe to pay more than US$33.70 a figure.

only thing that really turned me off slow shipping is that matty flat out WONT replace missing figures if we choose the slow type shipping.

thats the kick in the pants about it !

but maybe the dc figures being lighter makes shipping cost cheaper perhaps?
