Comic Book Men

Post by Jor-El on Sat Apr 13, 2013 7:03 am

Anyone checked out this show? Going through it and really enjoying it. It's a Kevin Smith production, set in his comic book store in New Jersey. Very much like Pawn Stars, but with stuff we here all like - comics, toys, pop culture.

The cast is 3 guys who work at the store as well as one guy that hangs out there. Kevin Smith also sits in a podcast roundtable with them all in intercut scenes, discussing the happenings. There's a podcast as well but haven't checked it out yet.

Anyway, highly recommend it!

Watched the first 8-9 eps
Some good laughs in it but like Jor said it got way too much like Pawn Stars - Every episode outlined below Razz

That does just sum the show up nicely Laughing

Comic Book Men is not a bad show and has some good laughs in it, the podcast that started it is Tell Em Steve Dave

I don't mind the laughs but the way they haggle and rip some people just annoys me, the ep with the Giant Sized Xmen comic is one that really turned me off the show, I get they need to make a profit but geez

I don't mind watching this show, I've always known Walt Flanagan's ego is giant sized itself but I always get a laugh. I'm a Clerks fan though so I may be biased.
