Marvel figures at Toy Fair

Post by fuzzcat on Sun Feb 10, 2013 6:21 am

Marvel Legends Wave 2 2013:

Black Panther
Hawkeye (Classic)
Hawkeye (Modern)
Phoenix (white)
Jean Grey (Jim Lee-era)
Age of Apocalypse Jean Grey (no pictures I can find anywhere)
Scarlet Spider (modern)
The Wrecker
Bulldozer
BAF - Rocket Raccoon

Wolverine Legends:
Wolverine (looks like both Astonishing and X-Force costumes - another one !?!?)
Cyclops (Phoenix 5 - possible regular variant)
Emma Frost
Rogue (modern)
Sabretooth (modern)
Puck (might be a BAF)

Iron Man Legends series 2
Ultron (classic) - YES!!!
Iron Man (Movie - MK8 by the look of it)
Iron Patriot (Movie)

Lots of 3.75" Marvel - Universe, IM3, Thor 2 and Wolverine revealed.

It's all a bit unclear who is actually in waves though, with figures mentioned not being shown, and no indication of who might be a running change.

The Sentry, Lyra and X-F Archangel were also shown, but nothing on Dani and Blade (BOOOOO!) or the Deadpool and Doom deco change.

ML3 is Thunderbolts heavy and will be at SDCC.

Consider me non-wowed.

Both Jean Grey figures look ordinary. Not interested in Hawkeye or Scarlet Spider. Bulldozer is the modern. Wrecker looks odd? Only figures I'm interested in are Rocket Raccoon and Black Panther and the latter only because the first one is shite.

Rogue is a massive win for me as she's my gal so *yay*
Puck is cool
New Emma looks decent.

The Wrecker looks underwhelming compared to the protos we saw.

You can see the AOA Jean here....

I like them all - so good updates and upgrades (Hawkeye, Black Panther, Emma, Rogue), first timers (Jean, rest of the Wrecking Crew, BAF figures)..... What I'm waiting for is the 3rd wave - I've been Thunderbolts made since day one of the title, can't wait for the rumoured/hinted at Songbird (Batroc and Blizzard were also mentioned).

Damn. They're getting closer and closer to releasing the entire X-Men: The Animated Series in 6" scale. Are they only missing Jubilee now? And an attractive Rogue?

I almost hope they never release Jubilee, otherwise I would be forced to track down the remainder of the team. Unless they just released a box set. Or maybe two box sets.

Batroc is one I'm stoked about. I've been trying to work out how to do a custom of him so here's hoping the nail him.

It looks like a good line up. Not too many re-makes. All us ML fans have been screaming for a Jim Lee Jean Grey from day 1. It will be good to get all the wrecking crew. I want a modern hawkeye pretty bad. And Rocket Racoon BAF, hell yes, I have been a Guardians fan from the start way before rumours of a movie.
I am a bit dissapointed that they are doing BAF's of smaller figures e.e. hit monkey and rocket. To me BAF's should be big figures like sentinels. But I guess it would make the figures cost too much.

I still want to see:
Dazzler
Jubilee
Mockingbird, modern.
