Toys R Us Online = Fail

Post by The Dr Of Style on Sun Dec 16, 2012 5:28 pm

Mother in law sent over online gift cards rather than wasting money on postage from Canada for kids presents. First gripe vouchers only available to use at their online store (east coast Aust) so in WA we're still gonna waste money on postage.... Wife bought 3 items, overnight postage was the only option so we waste $93 on that....now I understand that overnight to WA is probably not a reality.......Paid on the 6th... one item arrives on the 8th, label says 2 of 2....delivery guy only has one on his truck, nothing to sign. couple of emails to TRU to follow up, still no response a week later, we call the courier company they find box 1/2 in about 5 mins...hoping it gets delivered tomorrow. So now a week & a couple of days and still no response or 3rd item.

The final stroke of genius the item (kids tool bench thing) has the consignment note slapped on the packaging with all the pictures, no packaging, extra layer of cardboard nothing......Hard to hide that from my 2yr old when she walks out to the delivery guy with me.......Hoping that no one along the way has taken a liking to our 3rd item....glad I didn't buy an xbox or something.....I want my stuff and my $93 refunded bugger all hope for that.....

buyer beware

rant over, carry on Smile

I'd go as far as to say that Toys R Us website AND bricks'n'mortar stores are utterly useless and no help whatsoever.

Uggghh....that's pretty crappy.

TRU are pretty hopeless. I've asked a couple of times about a restock of Marvel Legends and I might as well be asking them to explain Einstein's theory of relativity.

Who would have thought ranting on here would have created such a turnaround. After a few more emails and phone calls we picked up replacements for the two missing items from the local store and were given the $93 postage as a gift voucher.....and who knows when the other packages will show up but if they do we're going to donate them.

Carry on, nothing to see here

I'm always complaining that my town doesn't have a TRU but maybe its a blessing in disguise! I did email them a few months ago inquiring about the new TMNT line that is coming out and they basically told me they had no idea what I was talking about and couldn't tell me if they were getting them or not lol Rolling Eyes

But glad to hear all your troubles were sorted!
