Masterpiece Prime at Toys R Us

Post by awe on Tue Nov 27, 2012 2:57 am

Hi,

This might not be news, but I checked out TRU on the weekend and got just a bit excited when I saw they had the new Hasbro Masterpiece Primes. There were a few looks when I took this photo, but dignity be damned I say!

It scanned up for $150 which is not bad considering what I paid for Takara's MP-1 ten or so years ago. And this guy comes with a functional trailer (not just one that you make out of the box he came in!)

It sounds like they've been plentiful in the U.S. so not sure if it's really a great find or not. Just happy to be getting something on these shores I guess.

Oh, they also had Bruticus. Which I didn't think much of, until I read here...

...that he's meant to be an online exclusive in the U.S. only? He's not going for that much on the Bay so maybe he's not in huge demand. Just interesting is all.

Happy hunting.

bloody hell. I remember when Target had the Die Cast MP Convoy for $100. $150 seems expensive for that. been out of transformers for a while though so i may be wrong.

In my collection and happy for it! Wish it wasn't 4150 though.
The piece on ozbargains.com.au was noted as being a cheaper version of the $300 Takara version. Actually its the TRU hasbro one.
