Thanks Joel.
It's cool that they are doing the white version of Phoenix.

Wow!
Black Panther, Hope as Phoenix and Hawkeye. Three characters they've already done. Hasbro just don't want my money.

Re: NYCC this weekend
I would agree, except Hawkeye is the one character I'm missing from my Marvel Legends collection and the secondary prices on him are insane - I welcome the redo.

Re: NYCC this weekend
^^^^
I'll be interested to see the rumoured Sewer Lair Playset.
They look pretty good so far. Dogpound actually looks better than the Playmates action figure. And the Kraang are infinitely better for the simple fact that they can stand by themselves.
I'm not sold on the turtles though - I would prefer to see the "shells" attach at the midsection (i.e. between the torso and the legs) instead of looking like a "cape" and Mikey needs his traditional nunchaku (which is what he has used so far in the new cartoon, except for in a single scene).

That's a good point. It would have looked better at the mid section.

So that's Hope as Phoenix. Thought it might have been White hot room Jean. I recall the outfit being worn by the Stepford Cuckoo's in a toon I watched.
I like her more than the original mock-up.

Hawkeye got a better head and arrow holder than the toybiz . Toybiz black panther is still better if you remove the cape. When are they going to make Jubilee, Nimrod, Dazzler, Silver Samurai,Morph, and many more to list.

Re: NYCC this weekend
The guy with the flag on his face in the background (his name slips my mind at the moment) was one of a selection of prototype figures that Hasbro done a couple of years back. They presented about a dozen choices (most of them were well done) and the ones with the highest votes were placed in the two packs that they released along with their own selection ie the Hulk & Valkyrie, Warpath & Deadpool etc.

The dude with the flag is Nuke, who is apparently one of the Weapons in the Weapon Plus program, and went on to be Scourge in the Dark Reign Thunderbolts squad.

Re: NYCC this weekend
I'm kinda glad it is Jean. Not just because I like Jean, but because that is the Jim Lee Jean Grey head. Hope should use the Hope head. Might this mean there is no second female character in her assortment, just 2 Jeans?

I assume she'll be a running change for the Jim Lee Jean figure.
