Indy Spotlight Figures

Post by simmo on Sun May 04, 2008 2:10 pm

Hey folks.

The Good Dr has asked us how much interest there is in this line.

Series 1 consists of:

Kabuki, Katchoo, Scud, ShadowHawk), 2 variants(Shadowhawk new costume,
'SOL') and a build a figure Maxx

Interest would depend on price. I`ve sorta lost interest in these during the wait for them and only Scud really grabs me. That Maxx is a let down. It`s been over ten years since McFarlane`s Maxx and that figure still holds up compared to this one. Dick Tracey is lined up for S2 (along with The Tick, as mentioned above) so maybe one or two from each series, definately not the whole line.

Idea

1. No interest unless they improve the figures VASTLY over what the current prototypes look like.
2. For $29.95? No.

Ouch $29.95ea. I guess Shocker does not have a distributor in AU then? (We though about bringing them in ourselves as at the time of contact ST had no distributor in AU.)

The Skinny for those that have not been keeping up with ST, sometimes it hard I know. Each of the IS will have a pack in which will be related to the Mega figure (Which everyone is calling a BAF) and there will be a mail way figure related to the Mega Figure of each series.

In Series 1 Case Each figure will have an Izs and the Mail away figure (Clip all UPC from the series) Will Be Mr Gone. (There has been no photos of said pack-in or mail away figures.)

Series 2 Each figure will have Tick Related Stuff and the mail away will be Arthur.

ST has been improving slowly (With prototypes show at least), although we will have to see with the first batch of figures. I think that will be make or break. There running changes are alittle hard to keep up with. That maybe to do with the way the company is run.

Reserving the right until I actually physically see product to what I think, I order some for my USA site so we shall see when we see.

Scud actually looks okay for the most part. Looks like they've forgotten to sculpt Katchoo's face though, never mind Stangers in Paradise, more like Stranger in the Mirror.
