June Toy Sales

Post by Xenaphobia on Sat Jun 16, 2012 5:06 am

Target and Big W have released their catalogues:

http://target.dynamiccatalogue.com.au/catalogue/target-catalogue-australia-s-biggest-toy-sale/4qt11m9mu.html?pid=promotedCatalogue

http://catalogues.bigw.com.au/portal/dynamiccatalogue?CatalogueID=13385138259558&pageview=two&gotopage=1

On top of the usual (?) specials on Lego, I spotted the following which may be of interest:

- The Amazing Spider-Man 6" action figures (including "movie" Spider-Man and Lizard) for $15.00 at Big W; and

- Toy Story Collection Woody, Jessie, Buzz, Bullseye and Rex at Target from $55.00 up to $69.00 for Rex.

K-Mart hasn't released their catalogue yet.

Target's sale starts on the 21st and Big W and K-Mart start their sales on the 28th.

UPDATE: K-Mart's catalogue is now available:

http://www.kmart.com.au/Catalogue/Catalogue.aspx?CatalogueID=520

Nothing really jumped out of me, except for the Skylanders starter pack for $49.00.

And Myer:

Thanks for the info; it's nice to see Australia importing in some 6" Marvel figures again.

So tempted to get the Lego Jabba set. I wish it were the Sail Barge though instead of the palace (again). The Sail Barge would have complimented the skiff nicely Smile

I bought my little nephew the 12" (or thereabouts) versions of Buzz & Woody. Planning to get Jesse for him too. Is there a Bullseye in scale with them?

There's a couple of bargains in the Big W one. I'm not sure if the Lego Super Star Destroyer is among them though. $500 for a Lego set? Just too pricey.

Nothing really at Target for me but Big W has some nice swag, FX Lightsabres for $30?! That Lego Super Star Destroyer looks wicked too, and LOTR Lego! Very Happy

Yeah, this one: http://ozfigurama.bigforumpro.com/t1911-wtb-toy-story-collection-bullseye-thinkway

Target sale price is amazing at $59. Normally retails just over a hundy.

Disney Store online also have a few plush Bullseye figures:

BUT, the Target "Toy Story Collection/Andy's Toys" Bullseye is *the* Bullseye to purchase as it is near identical to the on-screen Bullseye and it's just a fantastic figure. He is also HUGE!

And with shipping, the Disney Store versions would probably end up being the same price anyway.

Personally, I can't recommend the "Toy Story Collection" figures strongly enough. They all have their minor inaccuracies, but they're fantastic figures (especially when purchased for "sale" prices). You may wish to consider also purchasing Rex (perhaps for an eventual Christmas present) as it's a pretty rare figure and in high demand. Once again, he is HUGE!

Just got back from a run up to Morayfield - K-Mart and Big W were both mental, Target a bit quieter. Bought an Ultimate Spider-Man 6 inch and a Star Wars Dewback (from the 3D series) from Big W, went into K-mart to grab Kung Fu Panda 2 on DVD for $9 and they had the Skrull/Widow/Haweye wave of Avengers 4 inch figures for $15.75 each. And Target had a heap of 4 inch Iron Man figures for $9 each - including quite a few movie Whiplash figures.
