SDCC 2012

Post by Artistix on Sat Apr 28, 2012 6:44 am

A thread to let everyone know all the exclusives we will be getting this year.

I believe Neca are releasing their Lightning Gremlin as an SDCC exclusive.

Aside from that we have Mattel:
Ghostbusters Dana

http://toynewsi.com/news.php?catid=241&itemid=18628

I kinda like the Polly Pockets & may have bought this set to go with my PoP Polly's...but they are statues this time around??

Gi Joe will be Retaliation Jinx (2 versions). I think we are also getting a Lady Jaye too.

Kind of disappointed with this year's offerings (which is ironic as I'm actually going this year!) but will be definitely grabbing the Tiny Titans and possibly the Polly Pockets for my wife.

No DCUC which sucks, the closest being Death which would be awesome if it was DCUC style but looks very pre-posed with minimal articulation Sad

Oh well I might grab some ML if they have some, has anyone heard / seen what Hasbro will be offering besides the Joes?

I don't think we've heard of the ML exclusives yet.

For GI Joe/Transformers Hasbro will also have the Shockwave H.I.S.S Tank

http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/toy-fair-2012-coverage-sdcc-exclusive-shockwave-hiss-tank-gallery/23974/

The lack of a DCUC exclusive is sad. Sad

I really like how they are making more crossover stuff between TF and Joes now, that tank looks VERY cool!

ToyGuru on DC's Death figure:

"She is the start of a whole new look of 8" DC Stactions. We are trying it out with one figure Death to see what fans think. This is not intended to replace 6". 6" will continue strong on Mattycollector.com with Flash 1 on sale in two weeks! It is just a fun new way to collect the DC Universe. It won't be for every fan, but for those into this look/interpretation - jackpot!

If this line proves popular enough, who know where it could go!"

And more

“Hey DC fans, I’ve been on the boards and have seen a lot of questions about the new 8″ Death SDCC Staction figure. She is articulated at the waist, shoulders and neck, but really is a statue on a base. (a super cool amazing statue- of Death herself!)

To clear up any questions, this is not a figure from the DC 6″ world.

Now that we have The DC Signature Series through Club Infinite Earths on Mattycollector.com, we have the freedom to explore lots more DC 6″ executions without retail restrictions (such as pricing and shelf size). This new freedom allowed us to use SDCC to explore new form factors to collect the heroes and villains of the DCU from every era Golden Age to New 52.

We wanted to kick off a Staction execution with a character that had never been done in 6″ (yet…) and would appeal to the SDCC crowd. Our Tiny Titans 5 pack is also a great tribute to the series and a fun way to collect ultra cute interpretations of the DCU (well the Titans…).

The 6″ line is doing great and will kick off online in 2 weeks with Flash 1 Mattycollector.com May 15 at noon Eastern.

We also have an amazing Dark Knight Movie Master SDCC item to reveal soon (just making some last min adjustments to ensure the lights and sounds work right in the package and all decos are correct!). This one will blow your mind!

Lots more is in store and look for all the latest at our Fan Panels at SDCC (date TBD). See you at the show!”

Saw news the Neca Lightning Gremlin is not an SDCC exclusive.

Exclusive for Monster High is Scarah Screams. Scarah won a fan vote last year (I'd have voted for the Headless Headmistress or the 6 armed girl myself)

Star Wars - 'Lost line’ 7 pack including Jar Jar in carbonite exclusive figure

NECA Toys - Predators – “Cloaked City Hunter”

http://toynewsi.com/news.php?catid=139&itemid=18730

DST Knightrider KITT with Michael

Bif Bang Pow 4" Venture Brothers bloodied Brock Sampson

Dark Knight Movie Masters Bruce Wayne to Batman

Update :-)

SDCC Exclusive Marvel Legends X-Force 3 pack

That's Legends (not Universe) so its of the much missed (by me) 6-inch scale.

No, I didn't even know that they did pre-orders for that stuff.

When I went back in 2004, you took a ticket and it was a lottery if you were allowed to queue up for the exclusives or not (well, that was how Mattel did it anyway) and they weren't on offer on Preview Night either.

Majorly jealous of you Mahzian. SDCC is the ultimate!

Aaaargh!!!! Me too. I've made a custom x-force wolverine, psylocke, archangel, and warpath that have all now been released. I've also made a x-force deadpool, domino, and x-23 so look out for those in the next wave of marvel legends.

The Masters of Evil 3 pack looks awesome. I'd personally love to see a remake of Apocalypse in a 19" size (compared to the ML Apocalypse BAF).

I would get that, if I could get that.

I WANT!

anyone have a secure method of snagging?

It's a must have for me........especially Archangel without the dumb rocket firing contraption that spoilt the earlier X-Men classics one.
That Masters of Evil Marvel Universe box set looks great too........just a pity it isn't yet in 6" scale. Sad

I don't think that's a new body type. It looks like the Electra (from 2 pack) body that I used to make my custom Psylocke. It works nicely though.

I really like the new Wolverine body though, with the x-force uniform boots and gloves. Gives him a good chunky cut look and from the individual photo of him it looks like he has some nice rare-for-hasbro ankle articulation. Looks like I will be hunting these down too. Damn it!

lol yeh I meant its on the new body they have been using recently instead of rehashed old psylocke body, for which I'm happy about =-)

I just hope that the Hasbro shop has plenty available so we have a snowballs chance in hell getting hooked up!

A bigger Avengers Helicarrier is being released at SDCC with an exclusive Maria Hill figure:

"The Super Helicarrier will be sold at the Hasbro’s booth ( No. 3329) while supplies last, which won’t be long even with the hefty price tag ($129.99) and the intimidating prospect of actually lugging this thing through the human traffic jam of the Con’s trading floor. At just over 4 feet long, the Super Helicarrier is the size of standard ironing board so, you know, good luck with that."
