I don't quite understand the choices of an old man in a suit and a nobody in uniform myself, but I'm sure the choices will be more obvious once I've actually seen the film.

Further, the inclusion of Alfred and Blake does seem to bode well for other secondary characters in similar franchises - perhaps we'll get a "Movie Masters" Lois Lane in the "Superman: Man of Steel" line. Or at the very least we should get Faora as well as Zod.

I think the bodies Alfred & Blake are using are the standard suit bodies Mattel have...Blake seems to have a few tweaks.

Not sure if they have a buck civillian female body? They could probably just sculpt a skirt & jacket on a DCUC body.

Is there any word if the bat signal actually works? I'm not super keen on all the figures, but may just grab them for that thing.

^^^^

I'm 99.9% sure that it works. The little card in front of it says:

"Collect all of [the figures] and build this working Batsignal".

http://www.geekrest.com/2012/02/first-look-at-the-dark-knight-rises-movie-masters-action-figures/

Of course, Mattel could turn around and say that it "works" by shining a torch through the "back" or something equally lame.

IMDB says the movie is due 19th July. I guess the figures would be out around then.

I still have to get the Batman/police Joker set & I am up to date with the line...I think.

There may have been another Jokers thug. There were a few other Batman figures but I only need the one.

Wasn't really into the Demon variant anyway. Nor the Scarecrow in the long robes (or was it a straight jacket??).

Still amazed they didn't do a maskless Scarecrow. I guess they still might.

i have the long coat scarecrow but not the demon bats, i know somebody who found one and left it because he didnt like it or know how rare it was.
Will be picking these up for sure, especially if it means getting that big bat signal.

Great likeness! Really impressed with the work here though is it just me or do those like Alfred and even Selina look like they might be the same construction as the Alias figurines with more joints?

I'd buy them for that bat signal.... working or not.

I have the movie masters batpod, making this series the only one in my collection that I have any accessory, vehicle or prop for that can't be held in the figures hand. I can see a nice scene set up with Gordon on one shelf with the signal and bats on the shelf below on the pod.

Sold.

In terms of Batman vehicles though the next one I am hunting down is the BTAS Batmobile...can't believe I never bought it when I was young!

It's a shame they haven't sold the new Honor Guard Joker, or Commissioner Gordon separately. Still waiting to swoop on a reasonable priced instance of each.

FYI: Movie Masters Two Face is going for <$14 on Fishpond (free shipping). I trying to convince myself of why I need multiples Razz

Interesting. So Bats, Bane & Alfred are wave 1 & wave 2 must be Catwoman, Blake &....I guess another Batman maybe.

I think I head people saying there was 1 figure left to be revealed.
