Hoping, but not holding onto much of it, that the Windraider will actually be shipped out quicker. UPS is freakin' fast but Mattycollector has to bloody pack and send the things which causes the delay.

Doubting I'll get it before Xmas. Would be happy if it's before New Year.

How long does it normally take to get here? I have not bought from the states in a long time . I just think their tracking system kinda slow ups.I am being tempted to collect motc but its expensive for each figure unless there is a site that I do not know of Smile

Hmmmmmm.

I'm mildly hopeful that my MOTUC order made on mattycollector.com on Black Friday will arrive before Christmas, but I think the chances are pretty slim.

Otherwise, I have been considering the DC Direct Flashpoint Wonder Woman and the DCUC "modern" Cheetah which I keep looking at whenever I visit my local comic book store. But the $25 price tags always discourage me since neither figure is particularly amazing.

There's not much else that is easily available (either in store or online) which takes my interest at the moment. I'd possibly be inclined to grab the 6" "Classics" Lion-O and Mumm-Ra, but I'm not a big enough fan of either figure to pay Ebay prices.

Ordering from Mattycollector - when the items are shipped, the cheaper International Post (around $6 to $8 per figure... bigger items would count as 2 or 3 figures worth) takes around 3 to 4 weeks. Maybe 5 if it is really slow. This is non-trackable as well.

The more expensive shipping, via UPS, starts at $50 and increments after so many items ordered. So, if you order 1 to 6 figures (and remember that bigger items tend to be worth 2 or 3 figures in terms of shipping), it's a flat $50, then increments to $70 odd for a few more, $80ish for maybe 1 or 2 more, $90ish for 1 or 2 more, then I think there is a big jump to like $120 for around 15 figures? I don't have exact numbers on this, just rough figures. :p

This, of course, doesn't include the time it takes them to actually send your parcel out from their warehouse, which can take anywhere from same day of ordering to a week later. They say allow up to 10 days. Lol.

I also have a theory that they ship like items first. So if you order only Windraiders this month, it is likely to be packed and shipped quicker than if you order 'Raiders, Demo-Man and Evil-Lyn.

I am going to test this theory. :p

My lovely wife has bought me for Christmas the normal Purple talking Sentinel as opposed to the silver one I got earlier in the year. It is the colors of the original one released at the SDCC2011 but at half the price ($59.95) from BBTS.
It will be here by next Tuesday according to the tracking system. It took only 3 days to go from BBTS in the USA to Botany, NSW then 2 days to get to Melbourne then they muck around with it there until Monday/Tuesday which is longer than the US to AUST. trip. Oh well can't expect much faster this time of year.
They have the Legion of Super Heroes up for pre-order at $250.00 but I thought I would be pushing my luck. Smile

While thinking of the LOSH I just checked Mattycollector and they have the set for $180.00. I added one to my cart so I could check postage and nothing happened, my cart remained empty yet it does not say they are out of stock. Has this happened to anyone else when using Matty?

When people were trying to buy during the recent sale it was doing a similar thing when something was "sold out"

I asked my mum to grab me a new Harry Potter castle I saw in Big W. Very Happy

It's not as big as others, but it will be an awesome addition to what we already have (I don't have all of it):

I had noticed on smh.com.au a few toys that had sold out really quickly in the UK. I decided to try & get them for my brothers little kids.

For my nephew I grabbed an air swimmer from eBayAU:

Noah is 3...I'm sure he won't have that reaction! Laughing

For my niece Siana who is 5, I grabbed a Flitter Fairie from eBayUK:

Watch the whole vid...they are funky toys!

That set is really cool. My Ma bought it for my step-son for Xmas.

I especially like the Draco & Dementor minifigs. Very Happy

For me, I've spent too much on myself on videogames and blu-rays already this holiday season to buy any figures, but if someone were to buy me figures as Xmas gifts, I'd want NECA's Gremlins. Cool

Well, I scored one of my Christmas wishes - DCUC modern Cheetah which I found for the bargain price of $10.00 at my LCB store.

Unfortunately, my Black Friday order from mattycollector.com has not arrived.

Happy New Year folks!

On the first page I noted my mum was going to grab the new Lego Hogwarts for me. She accidentally got last years castle which I already have. Hopefully we can do a switch or something...not sure of Toyworlds policies.

I didn't even notice it was the wrong castle till I opened it & starting reading the instructions. I thought "these crazy Scandanavians have given me the wrong instructions!" But no, it was the 2010 set.
