Yeah your right and I would have been content to have a gap in my collection rather than pay $500.00 for Bobby Drake. He has a broad range up for sale but overall his prices and shipping is over-priced. Even with the set in question only Rogue and Avalanche are the sought after ones. The X-men Classics series (all three) have some great sculpting and articulation but most of them bar a handful go for low prices. I have a few missing of these and will pick them up in the end preferably loose but only because I am a completist. I have two more Legends to complete my loose collection then I'll concentrate on closing these out. Smile

I would like to get a few more of the XMC figures. I don't remember how much I paid for Bobby, but I got him somewhere along the line.

I honestly like The ultimate Iceman, Archangel, and Collosus on the xmc.Its hard to find one not at least $100 (including shipment from the states) a figure.

$680 for a Grand Maximus... he's lucky I love him. Before that, it would have been either my Yamato VF-1J with GBP armour (oww) and my Masterpiece Megatron.

Although I think my biggest "buyer's remorse" figure was the Balrog from LOTR... so cool in pictures, so fat and heavy and unbalanced in real life. He falls over like a drunken college girl in a teen movie, and his wings have now been removed because I'm sick of hearing a metre of plastic slap into the floor. >Sad Also, he's so fat he is pulling his own back apart, the plastic is too heavy to stay together with the way they designed him. (Although before I realised he was a big fat blob, I did like the Balrog).

Ah, the Balrog. Guaranteed to crush you as it falls from the heights of your display in a manner that rings true of Gandalf's line, "This foe is beyond any of you. Run!"

Probably the topper of NECA's "pointless articulation" spree where nigh on every figure has articulation points that serve no actual purpose because you can only pose the figure in one position.... the Balrog's legs... why? In fact, by having the articulation, there was absolutely no way to have him naturally stand on the flats of his feet.... he had to be posed like a Cossack dancer, and even then you'd pray that your child could pass it without the threat of guaranteed death should the bloody thing top over...

I'd have grabbed it, cut it, reglued it before it warped itself, then pegged that git thing to the ground, see if he could stand. Very Happy

It's a shame, because he really does look nice with Gandalf eyeing him off.

This is the cheapest that I could find for it. I had my chance for buying it for 99c at ebay aus, but was crazy enough to pass on it.Since I was recollecting my vintage toys which I gave up.

Sellers will often send overseas if you ask them nicely.

If I could convince some woman in the US to ship me a GI Joe Terrordrome...anything is possible! Very Happy
