Re: Oz Comic-Con
I went on Saturday. Customer feedback is far from complimentary. Google "OZ Comic Con Facebook" and read the comments. There's also the whole conspiracy re whether the organisers took advantage of the Comic Con brand when they are in fact quite indepoendent from SDCC, etc.
I didn't fare too badly. I didn't pre-purchase tickets as Ticketmaster had stopped selling them on Friday. This was a good thing as most pre-purchased ticket holders including Premium and VIP Package holders got turned away when the venue reached capacity. Door sales carried on unabated and I turned up at 930AM and walked straight in.
I did then spend from 945-12 in a queue for autograph and photo tokens for Stan Lee. At 11 they announced no more photos, and at 12 no more autographs when I had the end of the queue in sight. No joy! Weekend ticket holders couldn't buy Sunday tokens on Saturday either, so they had to queue again the next day.
Bought the Empire Strikes Back Bounty Hunter portraits from Tristan Jones with my money instead:

Queued for another hour for the Stan Lee Panel which almost turned into a mob scene as the queue was abandoned as people just headed off the floor (no waiting) when they started to usher people into the Stage area.
Other than that, usual con complaints - No queue control, no direction from volunteer / staff, no way to hear staff on the floor, Panels running at the same time separated by curtains including Stan Lee.
Lot of worse experiences mainly by those turned away or forced to wait more than my 4 hours. Armageddon are particularly clever. They posted a FB message last night about how they ARE Melbourne's Con and they CAN do it properly ahead of releasing their Guests today.

Re: Oz Comic-Con
It was lame. I got there before 8:30, didn't get in till after 9:15, waited in line for like 50mins for the picture tokens, had enough of that so I push in right in front because the guy was leaving in 10 mins. Did that. Got my pics taken with 2 people and had to wait till 5:30 to pick them up. It was so busy but I was really happy I got to get the two pics takwn I went there for.
