TST's Disorganisation!

Post by TheSweetestThing on Tue Apr 22, 2008 4:54 pm

Awrght so I'm finally posting pics of my collection/displays.

I've been really OCD about having a nice display - culling a lot of my toys, and putting plenty behind closed doors.
So here's what's out and what's still in the closet Wink

The Unleashed figures on top of my desk.

The Unleashed figures on top of my bookshelf.

The Superhero Squad (left) and Galactic Heroes (right) which you can't really see all that well as they're just above eye level in my cupboard.

My Buffy figures on the shelf, and then the rest of my random figures like Spiderman, Batman, Superman etc

Pretty much the rest of my toys are up in here. Lego in their boxes, Harry Potter trio, Mezco Hoodz etc

MY CLONES! Very Happy My absolute favourite toys, of course. I've listed everything that you see (and may not see) just below the next pic;

Couple more Clones, they didn't fit on the shelf.

Approx 30~ Hasbro Clones
2 Titanium Clones
VCD Clone
Medicom RAH Clone (in a horrible pose)
Bobblehead
Kotobukiya 501st
Unleashed Clone
Gentle Giant Mini-Bust
Approx 5 Gentle Giant Bust-Ups

rage: Well, I have about 7 or so female figures (mostly from spawn) that I have packed away waiting for the day I move out. They're of the scantily clad variety that I'm sure my family doesn't want to see! Wink
Also have a small bag full of Star Wars figures from 1, 2 & 3 and about 20 or so loose Vintage figures in a box somewheres.
I ought to get around to photographing those as well, although there's not really any way I have of displaying them at the mo.

Nitey: I think I will get them, my local Target has them so that saves me a trip to Erina. Just will have to wait a few weeks while I save for my Sydney weekend away. Thanks for the tip tho!

nup, that's all of them. I used to have the AOTC obi-wan but sold it to Grimr a while ago.
will be looking out for some more at the next fair.
so that's 7 total at the moment.

Damn was hoping you had Aurra Sing - I disassembled her base and can't remember how to assemble it.

TST at the last few fairs, if you get there early the guys at the table just before the stage, have been selling Unleashed for $10 - $15 loose, I nabbed alot of clones that way.

Every fair they start with 6 - 10 loosies and then they go like hotcakes, just thought you may want the info for a headstart.

Pretty reasonable guys too, the more you buy the better the price.

Yeah that's how I picked up my clone & unleashed haul last time around. Unfortunately I'm probably not going to get to the fair until midday or so - but that's cool because I probably won't have a lot of money anyway Wink
Thanks for the tip!

Thanks for the offer Fieldy, much appreciated. I'm pretty much only after the more expensive stuff at this point so right now I'm looking for Gentle Giant Mini-Busts (all except the regular white one at no more than ~$80).

But I won't hold you to any busts - they are quite expensive after all and I wouldn't want to put you temporarily out of pocket at a toy fair!

However if you do see any regular hasbro clones say $8 or under! Just don't get pilots, those things are uuuuuugly! Wink

Anyhow don't stress if you forget or anything, there will always be another fair! *remembers passing up a koto jango fett for $50 and cries* lol

Cheers mate

I wont say what my budget is at the fairs, but I could cover more than a few collectors who attend, but its just not like the stuff is there.

Since I started working for myself and now that I'm expanding with more trucks, things are definitely a lot easier for me - no more getting scalped by the contractors, LOL

And if I don't spend it then my missus or my daughter will. $100 on Bratz and I'm the crazy one - I don't think so!!!

Took note of your wants and will see.

Lately after each toyfair I end up in Westfields buying Sneakers I store and dont wearand Skateboard decks I dont really need. I like the old skool ones for my study, to remember when I skated and was free.

Finally someone who sees the value and the artistic traits of having a select wall with a few select designs mounted for aestethic pleasure.

I only collect the Powell Peralta decks, as they were my idols when I was young and they had that sick scene in Police Academy which rocked my world when I saw it, My main passion is collecting Caballero's decks, as now he is doing comic sketches and painting his own decks.

And rumour has it hes a closet ML nut too.

I really don't know whats out there, I think I'm pretty much of the opinion that if I don't look in the skate shops I won't get irritated at not being able to buy any Razz

Do you know the average price range? I have no idea at all what a deck is worth...

Re: TST's Disorganisation!

Depends if its a new release or re-release of a vintage deck or a straight NOS deck from the 80's.

New release can be from $90-$150

Re-release from $120 and up.

New Old Stock OG 80's deck in mint from $100 - $3000+

The skys the limit, and if its autographed then itll smash those prices.

I collect what Powell decks I can, but I set my limits... and then revise them. LOL

Also check the latest hauls thread TST theres a SW shirt you may like there.

Will post pics of my decks soon.

Awesome would be great to see your collection.

Sounds like the price range I assumed, I might go have a look in the local SDS next time I'm at Tuggerah.
