Mattel... *sigh*

Post by DroothR on Tue May 31, 2011 8:14 pm

So, once again Matty screws me over on something...

Here's an abridged version of my query on the official Matty boards:

Hi, Intl. customer here, being given the run-around by CS again. Sad

I made an order on the 17th for 1x She-Ra, and 1x Skallox/Nite-Lik figure.

My order was still listed as "Order In Process" by the 25th (and still is as I send this), so I emailed Mattel customer service.

2 days later (on the 27th) I get this reply:

Thank you for contacting the MattyCollector.com online store.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

The Skallox/Nite-Lik that you ordered is currently out of stock. We show
that the Estimated restock date is on 5/26/11 12:00:00 AM CDT.

As soon as we receive your product, your order will be promptly shipped
and you will be notified via email. Rest assured that we will not charge
your card until the product ships. Your patience is greatly appreciated.

Now, the problem with this is that the Skallox/Nite-Lik figure never went out of stock on the website, and that the date that they listed for new stock to arrive was the day BEFORE they replied!

I was given the ticket number xxxxxx, and my order number is xxxxxxxxxx.

If you could please assist me, I would (once again) be most grateful.
Can't Mattel/DR get anything right? pale

I think Mattel get things right often, but DR certainly have not proven themselves a worthy company to sell and ship anyones stuff let alone the worlds biggest toy company....

I recently selected the wrong shipping method becuase their webpage didn't correctly refresh the shopping cart. After contacting support, and waiting a couple of hours, I was told that they couldn't correct my mistake because the order had been processed. A couple days later I get an email saying my order has been processed.

After pestering them a little more, they escalated my issue, and sent off my order. Razz
