I have to say, that bio is not at all what I was expecting... Shocked

wow cool, so Teela is He-man's successor? Or The Sorceress' sucessor? Either way that's pretty neat

I don't think the look of the figure really matches the bio and story being told there, but both are pretty cool in their own right.

She's still teaming up with Vikor on my shelf though.

Um. Really? Teela takes over as the Sorceress and chooses a new hair colour and a warrior-bikini to represent herself as the guardian of Castle Grayskull?

I'm not a huge fan of the bio just by itself (surely Prince Adam and Teela have to get married and live happily ever after), but even moreso the "look" of Battleground Teela doesn't seem to match the bio at all. Teela's cobra armour looks more like a "Sorceress" than a warrior-bikini complete with sword and gun.

I would have thought that the 200X Sorceress design would have worked for Teela taking up the mantle of The Sorceress. It was different to the classic Sorceress design, yet it was clearly inspired by it, which seems fitting for the Sorceress' magically cloned daughter.

Either way, the initial appeal of this figure has worn off to some degree (for me personally), so I'm not sure whether she'll be added to the collection.

Cheers.

^^^^

Scratch most of that. According to Toyguru, it is NOT Teela as the Sorceress. It's just another look that Teela adopted at some point before becoming the Sorceress. Maybe during her training at the Polar Ice Caps? I'm guessing it's pretty warm at the Polar Ice Caps.

Cheers.

Pardon my ignorance, but is this being released as a 'new' figure or a 'bonus' figure (ala BA Skeletor)?

Its a quarterly figure ala BA Skeletor, the bonus figures are not included in the sub, such as She-ra 2.0....

Hmm... I kinda figured the Sorceress wasn't really going to snuff it from Hssss stupid venom. :/

She does seem a little plain, but Vikor needs someone to help him fit in, so she'll do. Very Happy

The bio's are a load of crap! Toyguru and his team, have screwed the MotU story over totally!
The figure is cool, but, jeez, that bio ruins it for me.

What are our thoughts on the unpainted faces nowadays?

I see the argument, if a figure with a painted face falls over you can have paint scratch off their noses (& other places), which always sucks.

As I was saying at the Org, I find the figures with painted faces like Teela & Adora look more beautiful than She-Ra. More like a work of art & less like a toy.

I don't usually complain whe it comes to this line & I can certainly live with the faces being unpainted going forward, but I would prefer painted.

Hmmm. Unpainted faces must be the only thing in the line people don't have strong opinions on!! Laughing

I'm paint indifferent; I like the look of painted faces, but seeing as maybe 1/4 of my figures like to nosedive on a regular basis (weak joints mostly, it seems), I can kinda see the value in a face that can take a beating. Very Happy
