Vintage MotU?

Post by Oz-Scott on Tue Mar 01, 2011 4:48 am

Anyone here collect the vintage figures?
I do, but I packed them away to make room for my 200X and Classic's...

What's your favourite vehicle/playset/figure/mini comic?

Vehicle - Battle Ram & Talon Fighter.
Playset - I never ownder Grayskull as a kid, so it always held the most mystery for me. Well, until I found an Eternia playset.. That thing rocks!
Figure - Original He-man
Mini comic - "He-Man meets Ram Man" & "The Search for Keldor"

Yeah I have a vintage collection, fav vehicle is the battle ram, I have 4! Fav playset is Grayskull, but I've never seen an Eternia in person, fig would be Dragstor or Blast attack, mainly for the gimics, my fav character is Ram man hence my fav mini comic would be He-man meets Ram man too!

I have a tiny vintage collection.

I planned to buy the vintage figures as the characters came out in MOTUC, but that didn't happen. I do still plan on building up my vintage ranks at some point.

I sold a good bunch of mine to DBF a while ago, they were just stored away anyway, so I figured why not part with them, and honestly, they couldn't have gotten a better home.

I still need to get around to selling off the rest at some point, In fact I have a ton of stuff I need to organise and try to sell off, as I might be moving to another state at some point in the coming year. Not a job I'm particularly looking forward to, to be honest.

But anyway, back on topic, vintage MOTU was my first real obsession back in the day, I swear that line was like kiddie cocain... Laughing

I had a pretty complete collection for a few years there too. As for favourites:

Vehicle - For the heroes it'd either be Wind Raider or Talon Fighter, for the villains it'd be either Land Shark or Spydor.
Playset - I had both Castle Grayskull and Snake Mountain, and loved both as a kid, but I always wanted the Fright Zone.
Figure - Man-at-Arms. He was also the first figure I ever got when the original line hit. Other favourites include Skeletor, Kobra Khan, Tri-Klops, Hordak, Fisto and Rio Blast.

I had a fairly massive vintage set, but sold it on a few years back. :/

My favourite;
Vehicle - I always had a fondness of the battleram, but loved Spydor and the Dragon Walker too.
Playset - Had all the castles, but I think I liked Snake Mountain the most... it was my first. Very Happy
Figure - The horde trooper I got off Jor-El as a kid was awesome... him and Leech. Very Happy I think BA He-Man, Rio Blast, Clawful, Stinkor and Kobra Khan were probably as close to a favourite as I could get. Smile
Mini comic - Never really read them. :/ Had a Buzz Saw Hordak one that was kinda neat. Very Happy
