Well hopefully they get enough ppl on board for it to be worthwhile on the DC side of things.

I just pulled trigger on getting those 30th annivsary figures as well. I ummed and ahhed but realistically, I will want them all, and I cant be fuzzed trying to get on, on day of sale. I still wish for more control on the selection, but this is better than having to multi order and pay boatloads on shipping.

Mind you, adding motuc, 30th anni, and Voltron subby all together, its getting pretty expensive. I think im going to have to make 'donations' into a seperate account to help pay for this when I get hit with the bill each month!

Gah, because of this nonsense of the figures costing more outside of the sub, I've been considering going all in on the MOTU, 30th Anniv and Voltron subs, but there's still some details I'm not clear on. Will there be other MOTU stuff for sale not included in the subs? Do we have any idea what this will be?

Most likely, Shocka. The only indication thus far is the super large scale Granamyr that Mattel is planning for 2012. It will NOT be part of the sub.

Other than that, most likely at least 1 vehicle and possibly a weapons pack or 2 will not be sub items, but nothing official has been stated.

And, of course, there could be anything announced, like the She-Ra 2.0 scheduled for November this year, that will be extra and not counted in the sub.

And, not to forget, SDCC releases are NEVER part of the sub.

Arrgh. I would be all for this except it feels like I'm rewarding Matty for being such dicks - like forcibly releasing the Voltron pilots with the lions, since everyone realised how insane it was to pay $20 for generic 3 3/4" figures. Threatening the price increases for non-subscribers is darstardly..

No doubt, but so is forcing people with debilitating illness to buy expensive medication. Good business sense, but chronic douchebaggery. The comparison is extreme but apt; ultimately it comes down to how much I want this stuff and whether I can afford it. I want the stupid Voltron and I can afford it, so I'll buy it, and I want to continue building my MOTUC and DCUC collection, so I'll probably jump on board with those too. It'd be nicer if Matty catered to collectors instead of their pocket, but if that was the case they'd have taken everyone's initial advice and redesigned their mascot to not look like a smug asshole.

Per Matty:

http://www.mattycollector.com/store/matty/ContentTheme/pbPage.News

Ghostbusters figures are up to $22.00 each. I'm not sure if that provides an indication of the likely price increase for MOTUC.

Extreme yes, apt, sorry but I don't agree, I would rally through cities to help people with debilitating illnesses get their meds at a fair price, but toy collectors to get the toys they want, sorry but deal with whatever price the company sets. And it's not forcing you to buy a sub, but making the sub a better choice for people who want every figure made by making the figures cheaper than the people who purchase on the day of sale.....

That's fair enough, but is there a line for you? What if they decided to make each MOTUC $30, would you be fine with that? That's fantastic business sense - you're already invested in the property and the collecting, so you're likely to keep buying no matter how much they jack up the price...

If they sell the figs on the day of at $25 and charge $22 each through the sub then thats life, the figs have lasted at $20 for just over 3 years so a small price increase is life, if the increase goes to $30, again that is life, and yes i am committed to this line as it is my thing, but it would be a bad business move to increase to that amount in one hit, but again thats not forcing people to purchase the sub, its just guiding those on the fence to make a decision either way, just as you mentioned you possibly would in your earlier post.

We can look forward to two "monthly" reveals (although it's not clear if one or both could be A-List variants) and one 30th Anniversary Subscription at PowerCon this weekend!

Nothing new at NYCC as yet:

http://toynewsi.com/news.php?catid=310&itemid=17806

Toyguru has indicated that we should see 1-2 figures IF the 4H can finish them on time. I would expect anything new to be revealed at Mattel's panel on Saturday, so we should have pics sometime Sunday?

Star Sisters moved from January to February:

http://forums.mattycollector.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/4561004165/m/1161078227

PCN : Considering everything that is currently planned for January, have there been any discussion about moving one of the scheduled subscription releases, such as the Star Sisters, to the much slimmer February line up ?

Matty : This is due to the 30th anniversary series. We wanted to have two 30th figures to show at SDCC which meant one needed to come in Jan, the other in March. If we started the 30th program in Feb we would have only had one figure to show at SDCC (the Feb figure). But to help, we are going to move the Star Sisters from Jan to Feb to space things out a bit more.

No vehicle in 2012. Boo!

4. If the Wind Raider is deemed successful in terms of sales so that a second vehicle will be released in 2012, when will we be told you will move forward on a release date?

Regardless of how the Windraider does, there will not be a vehicle in 2012. We are putting our resources for fall 2012 into Granamyr. We may return to a vehicle in 2013, that has not been confirmed at this time.

So ... The Black Friday sale:

http://www.mattycollector.com/store/matty/en_US/DisplayShopperDefinedBundlePage/OfferID.12716121709

Some good MOTUC figures listed. I'm interested in Zodak, MEF, Vikor and BG Teela.

Is "PT" Mattel's standard time zone for sales? I normally just convert from "New York" time to "Queensland" time for the sales, but with the change from 9:00am to 12:00am, I'm wondering if they have also changed the time zone. I'm guessing PT is "Pacific Time Zone" which I think is what California, etc uses as opposed to New York which uses "Eastern Time Zone".

Cheers.
