Wow! Freebies from Mattel - congratulations! It's like a dream come true for all toy nerds (although the free figures weren't delivered in-person by a naked sci-fi actor/actress).

Re: The "Arrival" Thread!

Post by Sam on Thu Mar 01, 2012 2:30 pm

I've sent another email to matty collector saying that stuff posted from 18th of january is still not here, ie, windraider etc. Ive tried a few times but they seem pretty useless and not keen on replying or being helpful.

I've also emailed to try and update my credit card, due to other one being cancelled becuse of fraud, but again, no one seems to reply back in order to update. Its been a week since i first emailed to ask them to help update, but really, its the worst help I think i've ever not recieved.

On the flipside, I did a first off purchase with sycocollectibles for some Mortal Kombat statues, very quick, easy, friendly, and fast. Great customer service. Such polar opposites in experiences.

Lucky score on ur part the uckles, and ur missus just dont appreciated a good nerf when she feels one, thats all.

Not really an "arrival", but I'm pleased that I managed to score Kobra Khan in the early hours of this morning!

I look forward to his arrival in 6-8 weeks and to his official re-naming ceremony as "Lizard Man" since that is the name he was known by when I was a child.

After an email this morning from Matty, well turns out I'm NOT getting my Wind Raiders at ALL, and my only option is buying on fu*&%ing ebay at scalper prices.

Incredibly pi$$ed off right now about the whole thing.

In the unlikely event that someone here has an extra they don't particularly want feel free to PM

So far this year of collecting with matty has been quite a bit less than stellar experience for me.

Thats harsh, why did they say you are not getting them? did they screw up and not send them or are they lost in transit?
I dont think they understand the collector mentality at DR, they think that by giving you a refund they are doing the right thing.
Im pretty sure it was said there will be some windraiders for sale around comic con time, im not sure if its a new run or excess stock but if you can wait it might be a chance to not pay scalper prices.

Not really an arrival but more of a query i was the same as Sam in that KK did not appear on the sale page for me, i stayed up studying and kept refreshing my screen then when the sale went live he just disappeared, lucky i had been looking at his bio on my iphone so i just used that safari page to pay for him, i tried the usual deleting cookies, temp files etc but he still did not show.
Im interested to see if this was just an international buyer thing, as none of the U.S members seemed to have any issue.

Basically it got lost in mail, and after 2 months of waiting, they figured 'lets give money back to make customer happy' however i replied to let the know that I dont want a refund, I want one to be allocated to me when/if they make more. I also politely suggested they are welcome to buy it off ebay for twice the price and have it sent to me directly. Bet I know how far I get with that one!

And I saw this morning KK was on there, sold out of course, but a picture was thre. Just plain weird.

Nice pics as always mate, gotta love natural settings =-)

And yes D, I'll have to wait till the reissue, I just would have thought that if they were doing a reissue, then for goodness sake, wouldn't they just say We'll allocate from the upcoming stock cuz we stuffed up this time'

That would be nice.

Cant remember, but did the raider sell out super quick or did i hang at least until 8am our time?

I ordered some figures for a mate on fridayand must have picked the fast shipping option as i received them yesterday.
This was quite a big order to (both cats and 6 figures) so maybe DR have been told to pull their heads in.

Still waiting on Fisto/Sorceress/Weaver delivery - really, really, REALLY hope I don't get shafted like Sam did with his Raiders, how crap will it be trying to track Weaver down in the secondary market?

Would they even be able to offer a refund on Sweaver? Since she was a bonus for subscribing im pretty sure you would have a good case to argue for a replacment to be sent. They must have some stock spare for issues like that.
Although with the time and headaches it would cost to sort it out you would prob be better just buying her on ebay.
