My o my, thats some big scale stuff going on with those dio's..

Im in the middle of building a block wall under the house so *hopefully* I can store things away better and make some large scale dio's! Its going to take some doing though, but Gi Joes and star wars vehicles need to come out of their boxes I currently have them in!

I wish I had an 'under the house' space or an attic space to make some big scale displays.

One day...

I missed out on a complete Phantom X-19 I was bidding on. I hate when ebay items finish early in the morning because I get sniped.

The Phantom X-19 and Rolling Thunder are two of my Grails. I have more chance of owning them than I have for owning a Flagg, Defiant or Terrordrome.

One day I will get my grails....

I kinda wish I'd gotten into GI Joe when I was younger (first toy I bought was damaged in box and missing pieces, put me right off)... I'd never seen the Defiant before, and that thing is truly awesome. >_<

Yeh a defiant and Terrordrome would be great, but can never find a decent priced one will to ship international. And getting it shipped US then overseas is too much double dipping on shipping costs so not worth it.

Didn't Screamy just get a defiant? I want to see pics dammit! =-)

The Rolling Thunder is going for aroudn the 100 mark it seems, its nto too bad considering the size really. I just got mine recently for 89usd plus shipping for complete good condition, but I try and do buy now options, I hate being sniped as well !! lol.

What sucks the most is Hasbro still owns the moulds to most of these but because they are larger items there is a concern that they won't sell at retail.

If there is truth to the rumour that the Skystriker will retail for $30-40us then the prices shouldn't be that bad for larger items.

I really hope the Skystriker;
1) does well at retail to give Hasbro confidence to release bigger vehicles
2) isn't too cost prohibitive to get it shipped here

I got a Crusader, not Defiant. That's just the shuttle part. I actually don't really want Defiant, I could never get over the fact people sit right below the engines on the launch tower.

Please, all those Joes are dead! That close to a launching shuttle, they would be incinerated. And the me as a little kid knew enough about Space flight to know the same thing.

That's why I just bought Crusader; u still get the cool shuttle, just not the doofus launch mechanism for it. i admit i wouldnt mind the big white shuttle part as well, but then there arent enough Joes to man it wearing anything CLOSE to proper gear, so they'd all get toasted anyway.

The first time I found out about the USS Flagg was when I entered into a competition to win one. I think it was on an ice block or something.

Apart from that, I never saw any of the real big vehicles/playsets in stores. The biggest vehicle I can remember seeing is the Moray

Sideshows upcoming Ninja Temple is pretty damn nice looking:

Not something I would buy, but very cool. However I do want to hunt down the little Ninja Temple display for the 3.75" line. They re-released it for ROC, but I'd prefer to find the original from Valor vs Venom.

those 12'' dios are amazing for sure, but it would cuz me to run out of room even quicker... if i had more room to run out of that is ! ;-)

I ended up importing that set ages ago, but glued the temple parts together cuz it annoyingly kept falling apart !

Looks like kamakura has his lunchbox/bento ready to go! LOL

wishing the blasted series 3 would hurry up and get into stock at BBTS, series 4 figures had arrived and its in pile of loot, but cant ship till everything is there to save on shipping charges !!

sigh

Re: GI Joe

An unconfirmed list someone posted as possible figures for the Joe sub:

***

"I'm just going off "a friend who knows a guy who knows a guy info" here, so I can't speak as to the accuracy of the information but: some of you might want to get topside on this subscription, cover your girs in a big boa, don't even BAT an eyelash for a "nano" second. Not to jinx things, but some of you may do a barrel roll once MC releases the rest of the characters from their iron claws. It may be a sure fire thing, but then again it may be no dice. Don't grunt when they tan your hide.

uh...TNT

Which apparently adds up to:
Quarrel
Topside
Cover Girl
Big Boa
Nano BAT
Jinx
Barrel Roll
Iron Claw
Sure Fire
Dice
Grunt - Tan
TNT

**

As others mentioned, didn't Hasbro say they would not be new characters? Only international or unreleased characters. What 'unreleased' means here I'm not sure exactly.

So...

I've been away from collecting Joes since the 90's, but I keep reading kick-ass reviews of "Rise of Cobra" figures.

Can anyone link me to the best resource on the complete list of these figures, and also how one might go about acquiring them?

Thanks. Smile
